Staghorn Fern 6.5" Hanging Plant - Exotic House Plant

I bought 2 and was so happy when they arrived. So big and healthy. Not just a cutting. Like most dealers send you and you're on your on . These are rooted . They get heavy so use all metal and get a chain that will give you some growing room I'll use a 3 3 foot to hold your pot and let it out as I go because once it gets started you don't want to mess with it again. But to bring it in and because of weather conditions. And the basket must be big enough for them 15" metal basket Is what you need and you will never have to mess with it again. Because when this plant starts growing it will engulf the whole basket never to be seen again. And remember use all metal because they will hold up better. I have a friend there's is hanging down about 4 foot longAnd you can not see the basket at allAnd there's is six years old. They did have to replace the chain. So I'm going to do mine right from the start . I got a 8" all metal but as you can tell in the picture it won't have any growing room. The one in the red pot is how I got mine about 3 weeks ago. But I replanted one just to see how it did . The way my friend told me I put some wood chips down not much . And left just a little dirt that came with. Not to disturb it too much Then I filled it all around with moss . Sphagnum moss . It will allow it to push through if needed. Becouse a shell will start growing out the plant .It's brown looks like its made out of a paper bag . The moss is so given it will allow the plant to grow any way it needs toJust spray the leaves they have like hair are fuss on them that holds the spray . The plant weare it comes together and can fill up with water dont let it because it could cause your plant rotten in the middle.It comes with plant food. I haven't used mine yet. When I find a 15" metal pot I'll replant mine with the 2 plants I bought so I'll have one big Stag horn and a beautiful big plant . Good luck Im really excited to have gotten this big of a plant for the money . What a deal and put it in a shaded spot it can't survive the Sun it will kill itThank you to the seller

I took a risk ordering during winter to Central Oregon. The weather happened to be above freezing. The plant arrived last evening in beautiful condition. The packaging was excellent! It’s such a strong and well balanced plant. The photo was taken this morning. No shock. I totally recommend this nursery. Their plants are excellent quality and well cared for…. With the intention that they will survive the shipping and adapt to their new environment, while being easy to care for. The pot is big enough for the next year of growth, and the soil is very high quality. I have plenty of time before I transplant to a different and permanent pot. Thank you. ❤️🐩

I received my staghorn fern in excellent condition despite ordering & having shipped to Houston in July. Took that risk for birthday gift. Looks identical to picture, for real! Very healthy plant with new leaves coming out already & rec'd only few days ago. So far I've been only misting with water, no fertilizer mist, just to let it settle in to new environment first; so, didn't need that for new leaf production. Will be shopping and buying from seller again but prob won't risk getting & having it shipped til weather cools down since won't be in hurry this time. I'm a veteran houseplant grower and have to say this was one of the better plants ever rec'd as a shipped product. And price was great. Very pleased & recommend seller & product, even for beginners with this type of plant, since came in such healthy & good growing condition. 👍

Ordered sever of these staghorn ferns and they arrived early, well packed and watered for the shipping and are now within an area that gets the type of sunlight they thrive in. Am going to get more as this plant is so beautiful if put on wood backing or an area of tree that works well with it. They can reach huge proportions over their lifetime and are truly a piece of nature's artwork. This is a great company, and we've ordered these before also. Great service and viable plants are in super condition!

The plant is big & beautiful, just as pictured. It has several new fronds coming up.However, the hanger that came with it will not attach to the pot it is in. I'll have to purchase a hanging pot for it. Not returning this beauty, though. I'll probably buy another.It was very professionally packaged, well protected and not any spilled dirt. Great job.

I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to make sure it would survive and it did! I've had it for several months now and it's tripled in size, sprouted new "horns" and is ready, I think, to finally mount it on the wall. I was nervous ordering plants online, but I've been searching for a staghorn fern for years and just can't seem to find them locally, so I took a chance. I'm so glad I did! This came extremely well packaged and the plant was dry but not wilted; it came in on a Monday and due to work versus post office hours, it sat at the post office for three days before I was able to pick it up. I watered it and hung it in my front window that gets filtered light immediately and it's been my prize plant since! I'm so glad I ordered this; I can cross a dream plant off my list now.

I had my eyes on this beauty for weeks before actually purchasing it and honestly I’m a bit sad about that because it’s everything and more I’d hoped for. Like all other reviewers say, …it’s a nice size fern for the price, it’s healthy, packaged very well and it arrived in an Alabama SUMMER in perfect condition. Thirsty? Yes but who wouldn’t be after traveling cross country in a box!? I’m impressed and highly suggest this Staghorn if you’re a plant lover. ✌🏼💛🌱 would also make an excellent gift.
