Q: Can this be used to roll up oxygenator cord?

This Retractable Extension Reel can only roll the line that comes with the product, and cannot be used to roll other lines.

Q: Is the 12awg wire 'pure' copper or copper-clad aluminum (cca)?

I have not cut open the wire to see I think it is copper, looking at the clear plug, but can not guarantee it.

Q: Why a 15 amp breaker on a 12awg wire? Is there a weak point somewhere that chokes 5 amps off the rating?

I looked at them all, and unless you get into a commercial grade retractor which are very expensive they are all 15 amp, many with 14 gage wire. So this was the best option I could find, I have been using it for months now and have a fan, shop vac, and router running at the same time and have not had it trip once. So I am happy with it.

Q: Can this run a 1440w 12 amp vac and a 1500w 12.5amp steamer at the same time?

If the unit has a 15 amp breaker and both item’s plugged in are running at full amp draw (which they may not be doing at all times) you are trying to draw 24.5 amps at once. It would exceed the breaker rating.
