The Alpine Corporation 80" Long Indoor/Outdoor Wood River Log Fountain is a really good value and great looking fountain!We were looking for a fountain for our cats that only like drinking from running water. Therefore, we needed something that was low enough to the ground, was attractive looking and functional for what we needed. We found a fountain at one of our local nurseries that fit the bill, but they wanted $1800! Since that was a little pricey for a cat fountain, I looked around and found the exact same fountain on Amazon for significantly less.The fountain arrived quickly (1 week ground shipping). The packaging was outstanding, and all parts were intact. There was only one minor flaw (broken piece see image) which didn’t impact the fountain nor was it too visible. This flaw was not due to shipping and must have happened in production. The provided assembly instructions were minimalistic and someone without skills might have some challenges to assemble the unit, particularly the pump and the water supply line as the fountain comes in two pieces and the water line kinks easily from the second unit vs. where it attached to the pump. One needs to play around with the pump orientation and feeding the tube back in to the second compartment to eliminate the kink. The fountain worked flawlessly right from the start with no issues. The fountain pump is super quiet and non-audible at max flow rate.I added some additional features to serve my needs by adding a ¼ water supply line with auto-shut off valve to keep the water levels continuously at optimal levels without exposing the pump intake. I also added automated timers to the lights (on at dusk off at sunrise) and to the pump (off at night and on in the morning) as no one sees the unit at night.Overall, this is a super value, great looking fountain and most importantly, the cats all love and use it. Highly recommended.

Looks and works great. Easy to assemble and startup

We Absolutely Adore our new "Babbling Brook". It is BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED. I look out in the backyard and I am amazed at the whole new look that this incredible piece of art has given to our yard and so calming to watch the waterfall from the top down to the bottom. The water retention is perfect, the brightness at night is beautiful and the size is magnificent. WE LOVE IT☆☆☆☆☆We took our time as not to damage while setting up. Take it slow and stay methodical, your going love yourself for making this purchase. ♡♡♡♡♡ Whoever designed this did a spectacular job, it looks so real. Especially putting potted plants all around the backside to help it blend in w nature. Yep, I DID REAL GOOD on this purchase.

Have had the item for almost 9 mos and I really enjoy it. I did have an issue with the pump not working after about 7 months but I contacted the manufacturer and they quickly responded and offered to send out a new pump. Would definitely buy another product from them

The media could not be loaded. We have done a rework in our backyard and wanted a water feature for the corner. If you are looking at this fountain you are probably looking for something on the larger side that is relatively "natural" looking. I will do my best to point out pros and cons, but know that ultimately we are very happy. This was a great purchase and the perfect fit for our backyard project. This is about as large as you are going to get without having to build your own pond/waterfall, and Amazon has (or had as of this review) a good price. In fact we found this fountain somewhere else first for more than double the price. It originally didn't show up in our search on Amazon because for some reason it was categorized as an indoor fountain. I only found it by searching the brand name. I submitted feedback so maybe they have corrected by the time you see this.Construction - Overall we are very happy with the construction of this fountain. The material feels solid, does not seem to chip easily, and seems fairly accurate in terms of fitting together right. At one point during setup two pieces banged together harder than I would have liked and I was happy to see no chipping or paint rub off.Appearance - Once again overall we are very happy. It definitely passes the "glance" test meaning that if you just look across the backyard (notice wider angle picture I included) it does not stand out as obviously fake or out of place. I would say on a scale from 1-10 where 10 looks absolutely genuinely "real" this is a solid 7-7.5, as good as you can really be for a shippable fountain. The exception to this of course is the LED lighting which can be seen pretty easily and are obviously not natural. They did do a fairly decent job of trying to hide the LEDs and wires behind where the water flows most heavily, but I may end up doing my own additional work to hide them further.Setup - This item ships in one giant box and is separated into several pieces that you place and stack. The biggest piece is the entire bottom tier of the fountain. I am a 6'4" male and was able to lift this by myself and position it reasonably. However, you will need a second person for one piece of setup. Essentially the top tier of the fountain sits on a boxy hollow bottom piece. The tubing and power cable from this top piece has to be routed down into that piece and through a hole into the bottom tier of the fountain, then the top piece needs to be positioned carefully so that notches line up. I don't see how you would reasonably do this by yourself, but it was easy with my wife helping. Also while setting up you will need to connect the black lighting cable that was routed into the bottom piece to a cable already inside the bottom piece. If you miss this step and then fill the fountain I imagine you could do irreversible damage to the electronic components so if you're like me and rarely read instructions, be careful. The most inconvenient part of setup is actually getting rid of the shipping materials. Giant styrofoam pieces and a giant cardboard box. The styrofoam alone could easily fill an entire large size residential trash can.Function - We have had this running for about a week now and it runs great. A few days after installing my wife had her book club in the backyard and I had to force them to call it around midnight on a weeknight because they were refusing to leave the backyard "but it's just so nice back here we don't want to go back to the real world." Sorry neighbors... We received several compliments about how nice the ambiance created by the solo stove (included in one of the pictures), the Edison lights which you can see along the back fence, and the fountain were. Two different people said they were inspired to rework their own backyard. Now the big negative....the pump included with this water fountain is essentially worthless. It is so loud that it is actually louder than the water sound. It also pumps the water so fast that out of the box this fountain is less babbling brook sound, and more flowing creek. I have included a video that hopefully gives you a decent idea of the sound. This is (hopefully) easily solved as there are several pumps on Amazon for less than $30. Personally I chose a variable speed pump that specifically mentions quiet function. I have not yet installed it, but plan to do so this weekend.In conclusion, money well spent even with a noisy pump.Feel free to ask any questions you may have and I will do my best to respond!
