Our Youth
I loved this book because it discusses everyday situations that our youth find themselves in. As parents it is our duty to guide our children to the right path, but it is their job to make a sincere effort to stay on that path.

Good book
I purchased this book for my youngest daughter. She was interested in this book and even read to us the first 6 chapters. She finished the book in 2 days. I am hoping that other books will become published for young muslimahs.

Nicely done
Very well-written, and a nice book for girls growing up Muslim, especially here in the U.S. Good conversation-starter for pre-teen girls.

Good start but needs more detail
Bought this for my 9 yr old daughter. She liked it and said to give it 4 stars. This book deals more with how to deal with the social changes/peer pressure young Muslim girls face when attending public schools in which they are likely to stand out. It doesn't deal with any details regarding physical changes girls go through as they approach puberty. I wish it touched on this more because our religion does have guidelines regarding hygiene and such and those Hadeeth could have been included.

Every young Muslimah should have
I have read this book and my daughter has as well. I think every young muslimah should own a copy of this book. Especially young converts.

Very short and not very thorough
I was looking for a book about puberty for my 10 year old daughter. I wanted a book that incorporated Islam as well. This book is not that book. It incorporates Islam but spends so much time on peer pressure and what a girl may face in public school that when it gets to menses, keeping clean and how to make ghusl, it adds it as basically an after thought. The chapters on meses and making ghusl are two short chapters in the back of the book. I was really looking forward to this book for my daughter but it let me down. I bought her Coming of Age: A Muslim Girl's Guide at the same time as this book. It is much more in depth and thorough as a coming of age book. It explains how to properly take care of your body as far as cleanliness, how to preform ghusl, how to check if you period ended, small stories from other young women from their puberty periods, changes in the body, etc. It is written more text book style, but I find that it is something my daughter could refer back to even when she is older. I would recommend that book.
