I've been taking DHEA for about 6 months. It, along with Naturegest progesterone cream, has made a huge difference in how I feel. I'm 57 and my skin has always been dry, I have been extremely sensitive to the heat in summer for the past few years, and I had this stressed feeling even when I wasn't stressed about anything. Shortly after beginning to take the DHEA I noticed that the heat wasn't bothering me at all. My skin is much more moist. For at least 20 years I couldn't wash dishes without gloves because the soap would dry out my skin immediately and now I forgot the gloves once and found I no longer need them. The same soap doesn't bother me at all. I love this stuff. The tabs melt in the mouth or can be chewed. I don't notice any taste and this is the best way to absorb DHEA. I've read that the absorption is much better than in capsules. My chiropractor carries the Douglas Labs brand so I know it is high quality. He researches everything he carries and only carries the best.And, it's wonderful to get it on Amazon where the price is great and it's delivered to my house.

I'm a 53 yr old female and was advised by my ob/gyn to start taking DHEA as part of my hormone therapy to treat the effects of menopause (hot flashes). I started with 10mg per day and didn't notice any benefits except for a small reduction in the number of hot flashes. So after 2 months I increased to 25mg/day and I take it mid-day with lunch. Definitely a difference in work-outs, my sex-drive, and my hot flashes! I love it. My ob/gyn warned me of a possible increase in facial hair, and hair loss on my head, but I supplement with 10,000mg of Biotin each day and have had no such side effects at all. In fact, my hair dresser recently told me that I have a ton of hair. Here's the important thing: I am healthy and I'm not on any prescriptions for any health issue other than hormone replacement. So check with your doctor before you try it. You don't want any negative drug interactions with any prescriptions you may be on. I also underwent the BRCA gene test prior to hormone therapy to rule out any genetic propensity for breast and cervical cancer. Good luck!
