Expensive, but worth it
First things first. Go over to the Lenovo site and see if there is a firmware update. If there is apply it as it will address a few issues these units can have.Purchased as it provides all the power the laptop needs over the USB and is therefore a single cable connectionWorked fine when plugged in and did everything as expected. Overnight the laptop it was connected to hibernated and the following morning when the laptop was woken up the dock was still showing an amber light and needed a full power down to resolve. It was at this point I found a firmware upgrade on the Lenovo site that addresses this issueI have a webcam and logitech universal receiver connected and no problems what so ever

For my Lonovo X1
Works great with my X1. A few more ports would be nice and feels a bit expensive compared to third party docks / switches. Does what I need though

A geneaiogist's dream
Most of the "docking stations" on offer now require the PC to have a USB-C socket. This "hybrid" can work with either a USB-C or the older USB-A. It has enabled me to continue to use a laptop that I have had for years and still enjoy the laptop's own screen and a second external monitor which I found gathering dust on a shelf. This configuration helps in moving text between applications when cut and paste is not available. I found this approach more reliable than my memory in adding new information from online documents to family trees.

Works with my MacBook Air
I bought this for a Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 which I’m waiting to be delivered. While I’ve been waiting I’ve tried it with my MacBook. I had to install DisplayLink driver for Mac OS and it wasn’t working I was messing about trying different versions. I’m not good with Macs. I watched YouTube and found I needed to use the usb c connection on the back not the front to link to the computer and then it worked perfectly,Really pleased as I can easily switch if I need to when I get my new Lenovo laptop.

Works well in Mac and Linux
This worked well for me in Mac and Linux.Note that you will need to install the display link drivers, without them I couldn't get not even a single screen to work - but they should be generally available for all operational systems .I'm specially happy because I bought a "almost new" one here for half of the price
