If I could give 10 stars I would. The plate is real marble!! It's very sturdy and heavy, I love it. The marble looks different in my photos, because the light in the living room (the photos on the carpet) is natural sun light and the photos in the kitchen (on the counter) have regular lighting.The plate is wide enough to hold a large cake!! It's hard to tell from the photos what the measurements are, but it's definitely wide enough to hold a 12" cake.If I remember to do it, I will update this review with a cake photo.

I bought this for my countertop (white marble) to hold cookies and muffins and am very happy with this cloche. It came well packed and the marble piece is as thick and pretty as pictured. The glass top is a nice shape and fits perfectly. It has been a hit and is a very welcoming addition to our countertop.

I bought this for pastries and it exceeded expectations for quality and overall appearance. The base is very heavy and solid with a polished surface on top. The glass dome is quite sturdy and looks perfect with a good seal. I was skeptical about the condition because a corner of the shipping box was shredded, but everything came out perfectly. They also included felt pads for the bottom, which is a thoughtful touch.

Very heavy base and fragile glass dome but a lovely set! Looks great on my island and fits even larger baked goods.

Classically beautiful, it fits any decor. Glass dome is tall enough and properly shaped for my full-sized angel-food cakes. Marble base is heavy, well-cut, and very nicely finished; it wipes clean easily, and the shallow groove around the base lets the glass dome settle in to help keep it from sliding around and to keep your baked goods fresher longer.I do highly recommend you use the four (4) cushioned 'feet' which they provided to protect both the marble base and the surface of your counter or table.

We like this cake stand because the marble adds a touch of elegance and it is also practical. I like the glass instead of acrylic because it is healthy though a bit heavy. The cakes, waffles cookies have kept well in the stand.

Marble base with the glass dome very elegant !

This is a very heavy and beautiful cake stand. Size is great and it seems very durable. I do worry about the glass dome breaking but it also is very heavy/solid. Need some arm strength for this one.
