Leg Avenue Men's 3 Piece Fire Captain Costume

Hard to find decent Halloween costumes. The higher quality ones are so expensive you might as well scalp the real deal off ebay. The less expensive ones are so worthless they're barely worth using. This is a nice balance in between and is worth using. The suspenders are the only piece that are cheap, and it's weird because the straps themselves are a high quality material. It's the connections on the buttons that are paper-thin. I ordered some yellow ones on Amazon that were not expensive at all and match the yellow stripe on the pants.

the parts that connect the suspenders to the buttons on the pants ripped almost as soon as i bent down a little and the pants were way too long on me but honestly it was comfortable and was exactly what i needed. i also paired it with a muscle shirt before i got hot and took it off

Not good quality. Suspenders broke and he didn’t even pull on it. Not worth the cost you pay for this. Highly disappointed

The pants were of shockingly high quality, though even I purchased the medium/large and they looked on me (6 ft, 180 lbs, 33 inch waist) like MC Hammer parachute pants. The suspenders worked fine, and the shirt was a faux Under Armour material - that shimmery athletic gear texture. It's way big on me. I ended up cutting the sleeves off it (which is an interesting thing to do in and of itself. Cutting the sleeves off changes the shirt forever - once the sleeves go they can never come back. Like plucking an early summer rose, and hoping your girlfriend will smile when she sees it. It will never grow again).The most important thing to note is that there is no hat in the package, even though it is shown in the picture. The picture could not be more misleading. I read the product description beforehand though, so was not surprised when it showed up without a hat. I bought a hat at this link Adult Fire Fighter Helmet in Black, which was awesome and perfect. So in conclusion: the pants are great quality and shirt is usable in other ways. They are both big, but quality makes up for it.Saturday night. A pounding like thunder comes to the door. She is startled. "Who is it?" she calls."FIRE DEPARTMENT. OPEN UP. WE SMELLED SMOKE AND ARE HERE TO PUT OUT THE FIRE."Four stars.

3 piece costume was for my husband to wear. It was good enough quality to last at least another Halloween or more. NOTE: the hat in picture is NOT part of the package. It come with a nice TShirt (he has a shirt under it because it was a cold Halloween), pants with reflective side stripes and suspenders. Hubby normally wears and XL and it fit perfectly.

This costume is fine except for the stupid straps which is kind of a major part of the costume. They're way too short and they really don't adjust at all. Doesn't make a lot of sense. We actually got two different sizes for this costume and both had identical straps. Not cool, really ruins the costume when you can't use the straps at all.

The suspenders are cheap to the point that I broke the part that connects the strap to the pants before I left the house. I was able to use a knife to cut a small slit in the strap and push the button through so that they were wearable. That's my only real complaint. The pants were a bit large but that is the way actual firefighting gear fits. The jersey is a decent material that I will wear again without the costume. Note the the helmet is not included. Just be very gentile with the suspenders!

Bought as a Halloween costume, the pants actually do have the reflective material on them so they would be very useful while accompanying children trick or treating. The legs are generously cut and I wore blue jeans under them without any issues. The suspenders are adjustable and seemed sturdy enough. The attaching buttons on the pants and eyes on the ends of the suspenders seemed like they might be the weak point that would fail with any repeated abuse. The shirt is a bit large for me but I wore another shirt under it and it seems to be pretty sturdy.One person even assumed I was a real fireman that wore my regular uniform so it seems pretty convincing to most folks that see it.Overall, it was decent value for the money and as good or better than some costumes I've seen in regards to workmanship and durability.Update: Seeing others comments about the suspenders ripping out, I'd suggest taking some blue jean patches and ironing them on the back for a really solid repair.
