Hot Wheels 2019 Nightburnerz '88 Honda CR-X 49/250, Red

You'll pardon a mad fit of nostalgia, but I used to drive one of these cars when I was younger. So I ordered one of these little Hot Wheels models of the dear old Honda CRX, (may she rest in pieces,) and though the little one wasn't quite as real-looking as the real one had been, well, I'm no great hand for models, but I had some fine brushes and a few colors of paint, some of which were glow-in-the-dark, and between that and some blacklight, I soon had a charming little model of the car I remembered, just how I remembered her, only also a bit like how she tends to appear in 1980s-tastic synthwave music compilation videos on YouTube, which is really about the only place our kid knows the full aesthetic of the cars of her parents' misspent youth from.We were ridiculous gearheads who spent the late Oughts fixing cars as old as we were on the road purely because we were A. that broke, and B. Eighties Hondas were just that cool. We'd never drive something so light, so sporty, so utterly bereft of air bags, modern crumple zones or even power steering, not that the fabulous Honda CRX needed it, nowadays, simply because the CRXs remaining on the road are too valuable and we are boring parents now...but we're not above telling the kid about how much fun they were, or giving her a model of our favorite old college beater with glowing head and tail lights to play with. Once, Mommy and Daddy were interesting and had adventures. We once repaired a carburetor and drove a two-door hatchback car with no air conditioning and a stick shift down I-95 in the heat of August and slept in it in Florida for the cheapest, wildest, only vacation we ever took. Now, we are older and calmer and less fun generally, but, well, at least we tell bedtime stories with Hot Wheels cars.Eh, who'm I kidding? I'm the parent who makes the kid's Hot Wheels' cars EYES LIGHT UP. That is cool as heck to a little kid. And this is just the dearest little CRX. The kid seems to have decided this car is Lightning McQueen's friend and there is a whole soap opera plot she has going on now with some Cadillacs and a little Lamborghini, but I'm not going to question it.Looks like we have a bigger adventure, with smaller cars.

Got this as an x-mas gift for my man as this is his current project/daily car. Excellent condition, my only complaint is the headlights still being red but hey I still love this and I’m sure he will as well !! (going to be keeping it in the packaging for “mint” condition) :) 10/10

This was an Xmas gift and it was exactly the right color and model to match my brother in laws fixer upper project.

My husband loved thus toy car especially since it's a miniature version of his first CRX.

This is a good car. It’s very good but it’s a little to small in my opinion.

I used to own a life-size crx and having one to show as a hotwheel is amazing. Its definitely pulling on the heartstrings.
