The Power block was delivered exactly as promised and appears to be of excellent quality. The Lenovo original lasted seven years of almost consistent use and if this replacement lasts half as long it will be just fine as it is time to upgrade the laptop anyway.

Lenovo power supply. Works great, last a long time and won't rot your teeth.

At $50 for a laptop charger, you'd think this would be one of the best, especially with a lifetime warranty. Sadly, there is no lifetime warranty, at least not one they'll honor, and in my experience it started shorting before the two-year mark. The cherry on top is that it was loose in the socket from the start, belying poor quality control. If you have the money to burn or are desperate, this might be a good option. Otherwise, you can likely find a better fit with a safer warranty at the same or cheaper price.

I bought this as a replacement charger for my W530 and as soon as I plugged it in a horrible burning smelled filled the room and the charger died.

The title says it all - if your Lenovo is compatible with this 170 watt charger/power supply and accepts the same physical plug configuration, then it'll do just fine for you. I use it as an extra so I don't have to carry one to a remote office location. I cannot tell the difference in performance or appearance from the original that came with the Lenovo W540 workhorse that I use for many technical tasks. It's doubtful that you will either.
