New Made Item: The Pickelhaube (plural Pickelhauben; from the old German Pickel = "point" or "pickaxe", and Haube = "bonnet", a general word for headgear), also "Pickelhelm," was a spiked helmet worn in the 19th and 20th centuries by German military, firefighters, and police. Although typically associated with the Prussian army, the helmet enjoyed wide use among uniformed occupations in the Western world. Our reproduction was manufactured exclusively for IMA. This stunning Imperial German Prussian Pickelhaube helmet is handcrafted of genuine leather with authentic brass hardware, featuring brass constructed; Prussian eagle helmet plate, chinstrap clutches, peakmount, removable spike, and a soft leather liner. Copied exclusively from an IMA original sample making it easily the very best reproduction on the market today. Adjustable liner, one size fits most, fits US 7 (56 cm)- US 7 1/2 (62 cm).

Very good replica straight off Colonel Klink’s desk
Fantastic piece and a real conversation starter. Get a USAAF crusher cap and you’ve got the Hogan’s Heroes credits right there. The helmet is hard leather and the metal bits are quite good replicas. Enjoy.

Better than advertised
Great value for the money. I got this for my teen son who is a huge history buff. This looks like it was made and shipped through time. The leather is rigid where it should be, the brass shines as expected, and the fit is good. On my head, 7-3/8 its a prefect fit. For a 14 year old boy it is a little big, but he'll grow into it.The shipping from India was fast, efficient, and got here in time for Christmas.

Need some quality control
It would have been a good review but it arrived all scratched up. Not happy at all.

Excellent reproduction!
My son is completely fascinated with Prussian history and Otto Von Bismarck --- so when I saw this, I had to get it for his 16th birthday. I made a Prussian uniform jacket and purchased this helmet. He wore it to school for his Military History club and European History class. It is well made out of leather and is very sturday. The fittings are metal and look authentic. The pike comes off for storage, but it fits well and does not come off during wear. He has a large head --- but this is adjustable and fits him well. Excellent reproduction!

Scorpios Review: A costume piece
Hello, so I bought this for steampunk and some youtube videos and I was specifically looking for a cheaper version. In the end, I got what I paid for. The eagle is off-center and the spike also looks wonky when I wear it. I would NOT wear this to any historical thing. This looks like a costume piece for sure. However, I like it. It was cheap. I might use it for a steampunk event or something and it'll work for my youtube channel. If you want something cheaper then a $100 plus helmet and aren't too interested in it being perfect then this is a good, solid purchase. However, if you need to go to a historical, reenactment, or film/picture heavy event then you should really consider saving up or finding the extra cash to go the extra little bit to get a higher quality one not made in India or which had a little more care put into it.In the end. I like the hat, it'll work for my needs. But in the future if I needed something to LOOK good then I will consider selling this and getting something more expensive.

It's ok
The details on the helmet are great I love it, but when I received it had some wear and tear and it was shipped in a bag not a box so maybe that's why it got damaged.

Historically Accurate
Bought this to replace the small plastic one I had before. This one is larger and wraps around your head nicer. Covers you more than the plastic one most people buy. I recommend this for any history enthusiast. Does have a strong leather/chemical smell at first though
