This radio is actually pretty awesome. Has the retro style while still being worth the money! My son takes it everywhere with him, the bathroom for a shower, outdoor for his chores, in the kitchen for dishes….The battery lasts awhile if you choose that option. But plugging it in is easier and cost efficient.The cd player works well and has not scratched a disk yet!

It looks GREAT ! It could maybe have a couple more features, like Separate Controls for the Speakers, for left and right, and as others have noted, the Side slide Function key is a little awkward, but TBH, so were MOST REAL BOOMBOXES BACK IN THE DAY,THEY WERE MADE WITH THIS TYPE FUNCTION SLIDE, TOO ,HAHAHA....SO ITS DEF TRUE TO ITS RETRO ROOTS LOL ! I thought the Vinyl 'Pleather' carrying Strap was a SWEET TOUCH,Too... VERY AUTHENTICALLY RETRO, TOO !! So for right around 20 bucks, you just cant really complain, and to be CLEAR- I'M NOT. Just noting a couple small things that could be changed in future, maybe. But Overall ? SUPER STOKED AND PLEASED!! IT LOOKS GREAT, WORKS GREAT STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, HAS A PLACE FOR BATTERIES, MAKING IT TRULY PORTABLE, AND WITH A DISCOUNT I HAD, I PAID 19 DOLLARS N CHANGE. COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH IT, DEF WORTH IT IF YOU NEED A GENUINE PORTABLE CD PLAYER. MAY EVEN GET ANOTHER FOR ANOTHER AREA OF THE HOUSE, EVEN ! GREAT PRODUCT,GREAT VALUE.

It works well I haven't had a problem with it. I don't like the on and off button going up and down it makes it awkward on the side. But that's just me I do like that it's thin and fits easily on my table against the wall by my bed. And it is beautiful

This was not worth the money very cheap cheap sound cheap in every way

After six different boomboxes, all under 40 dollars, I finally discovered something I can use and enjoy,,,and that meets the majority of my CD player and radio needs. The retro PROSCAN by Sylvania is a surprise champion in the group. The sound quality is somewhat above average in my opinion. Certainly not audio snob quality but actually listenable with no frustration or aggravation. My favorite CD's all come alive again...the Kingston Trio, Nat King Cole and Johnny Cash lead the group. I have not had the opportunity to test material such as King Crimson but heavy metal or art rock (like Crimson) may not be as rewarding . I just can't say at this time.My radio use is very limited because of terrain and pathetic choices for listening. Mainly news and talk for now. In addition I had a long career in radio and don't feel the need to have something on in the background now. The radio in this PROSCAN seems strong considering the extremely limited time I have used it.Love the Crimson color and the overall style.No bells or whistles, no bluetooth, no alarms, no headphone jacks, etc. Just decent, acceptable sound at a price that won't attack your wallet or your sensibilities.

I thought this was going to last but it didn’t. It barely made it 6 months. I know I can’t get an exchange but I mean it only worked for like 4 months. That’s awful. The CD player just spins the disk over and over. It won’t play them.I was so excited to get this and for the deal it was. But you get what you pay for. And I got a piece of junk. I will need to buy and new one and it won’t be from them or this model.Ugh! I wish there was something that could be done about this but it looks like that’s a hard no. Sad. I just want the CD player to work.

Needed a radio, in case of emergency, when we saw a red one like this on the counter in the bank. It was so cute and had a very good sound, so we had to have one.

Got this for my dad to listen to music ans his porch and he loves it. He plays the radio and cold cd's
