OEM Replacement part
This is a genuine OEM replacement part and works perfectly.Don't waste your time with cheap knock off parts for this replacement. I did initially to save a couple bucks and the magnet was too weak to hold the door in position.Returned the knock off and bought this product.

Needed a replacement. Worked as expected.
We have an LG front-loading washer and one day we opened the door and I saw this beige round thing stuck to the metal area around the door opening. It was obviously magnetic. Did some research and realized it is designed to keep the door slightly open when not in use to help dry the door rubber seal. Found this on Amazon and ordered it.Install is fairly easy. Just takes a bit of finesse to make sure the spring is on the small ring inside the cap and the large end goes on the round pin in the door. I had to lie down and do it so I could actually see what was happening. Also make sure the two tabs are in alignment with the slots inside the opening so the cap goes in and out freely.

Fits exactly to OEM
Perfect match to existing door magnet. If after pushing it in, the button does not pop, close the door and see if it does then. If not, twist it (gently) 1/4 turn and it should pop out and you are all set.Also - Small side of spring toward magnet. (Washing machine side)

Other reviews are right
The magnet on this part is not as strong as the original part. It will hold, however, if you gently hold it up against the latch. It appears that all sellers online are offering this same item, so there is no other option. It's working for us now that we are used to it and is certainly better than leaving the door wide open. Unfortunate though that they went with a weaker magnet.

Easy to install
Adam was easy to install and worked as expected.

Great replacement
LG seems to have a failure on this piece but this product does replace it perfectly. I don’t know if it’s a manufacturing issue or design but this does work. We will see if it breaks again but for how expensive the washer/dryer is it seems to break easily.
