Before buying this and after reading some of the reviews I was leery about getting this AM4 conversion bracket for my old Corsair H2O's from an AM3 platform. This bracket is exactly the same as what you get from a current Corsair H2O designed for the AM4's. I've bought two of these now, one after this one as I was happy that this wasn't plastic or a flimsy metal substitute, it's not. I have several old water cooling rigs as well as newer AM4 platforms. It's so nice that my perfectly fine AM3 rigs can be upgraded to be used on the newer AM4's, as I hate to throw out equipment that is in perfectly good shape.Nothing bad to say about this product, some complain about bent brackets, which is what I was initially worried about, and you can bend this if you really try hard, as you can with any metal piece, however this is very strong and if you are bending this then it is being misused.

I used this with my Arctic Liquid Freeze 120, with my new Ryzen 3900 XT and had shockingly good results. Works as if it was the original manufacturer's retention ring. Strong, easy to use, just twist and lock, then mount just like you would otherwise. Has all the correct screws to go into your motherboard's backplate, and they have a very nice screw solution. I also ordered the free kit from the manufacturer (this came first as theirs took some time), but honestly this works better. Their kit comes in pieces, and is not as straightforward as this one which works like the original retention rings.With my Artic Liquid Freeze 120 I'm getting ~47-53°C all day long. Very happy I can use my existing water cooler on the new AM4 sockets. If you have a water cooler with a similar retention style ring for AM3, this will most likely work for you and your new AM4 motherboard/chip. It did for me!

One of the parts was missing when I was building my computer and this came to the rescue.

Risers did not meet my expectations.If the adapter is used on top of the intel adaptor easily works fine but without modification the cooler blocks will be gapped and you will CPU safety shutdown or worse.The major 4 point circular adaptor could easily be modified to avoid this issue so it rests on top of the old adapter and causes no gap.I ended up just using 2 points of contact on the old intel adapter and not even using anything but the risers.
