Smooth/Quiet Bottom Bracket for Bike Refurbishment
I recently refurbished an old Schwinn Traveler, and this bottom bracket was a key part of the upgrade. The installation was a breeze—it fit perfectly and was the right size for my bike, with no adjustments needed. I had it installed in no time, and it really helped get everything running smoothly.Once installed, the bottom bracket delivered a smooth, quiet ride. The crankset feels solid and the power transfer is consistent. It’s one of those parts you don’t really think about until it works well, and this one definitely does. For the price, it’s a great value—solid performance without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for an affordable, reliable bottom bracket for your bike, I’d definitely recommend this one!

Works great!
A decent upgrade from the old school style of bearings as well as easier to install than the old ones. It's a great upgrade for my off-road electric mountain bike. It has nice smooth pedaling action.

Can life get any easier ?
Rebuilding an old GT Slipstream and the headset was grumpy. Got my specs correct and ordered this little Jewel. Fit like a sock on a ducks bill. $10. Unbelievable great deal.

Needed to use Teflon tape
Installation was easy. I replaced the old style ball bearing races with this cartridge unit. It fit the bicycle and threads perfectly. For the first few minutes of riding, it was smooth, silent and and perfect. But soon it started clicking when I'd push hard on the down stroke. I tightened it a LOT. Same thing happened.I took it off the bike and wrapped several layers of plumbing Teflon tape around the silver end that inserts into the threaded cap (right side), and on the threads themselves. After reinstalling with the tape and tightening everything snugly, it's back to silent running. No clicks. So far, I've ridden over 50 miles, and still good.Perhaps tolerances aren't the greatest? But it's less expensive and it's working now. Yeah, I'd buy again.

Does good for a 270 lbs man!
To the point:• Very easy install on my Schwinn Mountain bike, and this was a single sealed unit with one screw on, whereas the bike's bottom bracket was several separate parts.• Smooth ride!! And when I say, "smooth," it felt like it was very well oiled and sturdy/well built.• Standing up and putting my weight on it did not bother it at all.• I was able to install the square crank on there easily and off I was to ride with the team, and we rode for miles.• This is a well-built, smooth, and easy-to-install mechanism.

Bottom Bracket works well for Trek 700
I installed this bottom bracket to replace old stock unit in 2000 Trek 700. I chose a 68mm x 122.5 unit and it was a direct fit for this 3x7 shifting unit. I did not make any derailleur changes. The bike no longer shakes in the bottom bracket area!
