Quite high geared.
If you require the motor to operate slowly then a reduction gear train will be required. As is it would propel a mode car much too fast. I don't know if the official LEGO motor is any different though. I have bought two and both have worked well. Can't complain at the price.

It is a very good LEGO alternative because it’s much cheaper, but you will still need to buy a battery with it.
