Fun but also an excellent teaching tool from 9years upward.
I bought it for a 9 yr old just starting electrical circuits at school. The spring connections are simple to use for young hands and the fun of lights, bells and motors working gets them interested. It allows the fun of getting lamps, bells, motors to work to get them interested but also has thepotential to teach series and parallel circuits, relays, generation, using a potentiometer, use of electrical energy and in later years, Ohm’s law, Kirchoff’s laws. With the later addition of a few electronic components it could be used for more advanced teaching. The manual is excellent with a series of experiments explained is simple language, the theory and how to build the circuit with photos, drawings and circuit diagrams.Very pleased with this kit, it will allow me fun time with my grandson and allow me to help him with his school work on this topic this year and in later years at the work becomes more complex.Getting hands on experience will help him at school when building circuits with a group of children.Very pleased with this kit and it’s potential for later years.

A comprehensive introduction to the principles of Electricity and Magnetism
I bought this kit for my granddaughter aged 12 to help her get a thorough understanding of Electricity and Magnetism. I write this having studied Electrical Engineering at University to Master's level. I found that the experiments do provide an excellent understanding of the principles. They develop the concepts gradually which helps to consolidate the understanding. The experiments are well-designed and documented in the included booklet. The booklet also gives the theoretical background to each experiment. The kit itself is well-made and easy to assemble. The ammeter and voltmeter are very valuable and justify the relatively high cost compared with alternative kits.Overall and excellent product.

Nice but already broken
It is a nice set, good explanations, neatly presented.I got my son this set as he is learning in school and he loves experiments. It was also his birthday, so it was an even bigger surprise for him. We only opened today. It has lots of positives, nice booklet, lots of add-ons .However, we probably received one already opened before as there was no seal in the box. The motor is already broken and it is such a shame. He is very excited to have it, and couldn't stop playing with it when we opened. He wanted to crank the machine, but it is really sensitive and it will probably break in one go.I won't be returning as he will get very upset, he is autistic so this would create even a bigger confusion and upsetting. However, for the price it is, I would expect a seal in the box and unbroken items. If this was not broken, would have been 5, but sadly, being so expensive and broken is really not a deal for me.

Great but a few niggles
Used this to teach a 9 year old and an 11 year old about circuits during lockdown. Enough bits of kit for co-operative work, but not quite enough wires, etc., for them to make parallel circuits each. Very easy for them to make and remake circuits, though. The parts for circuits were well made except for the fan-motor-crank handle assembly, which kept falling apart. On the whole, a good first introduction to electronic principles.

Absolutely brilliant awesome kit! kids love it!
This is just amazing! Best educational kit I've come across and really well made and simple and easy to use for teaching younger kids (I recommend age 8 to 10).It includes nearly everything you need and the 30 page book with it is invaluable and gives ready made lessons and experiments, making life for a home tutor such as myself, really easy.Highly recommended!!

Great for curious minds.
Our 9 year old loved this and had help from dad following experiments first day and was creating all sorts of circuits all by himself there after. He said its better than school.

Very poor instructions and some items flimsy
Its a good thing that its part of an education to work out the circuits and for those on a jourtney / really interested, its ok-ish...but for actually guiding someone from fresh to introduce them to electronics and magnetism, the instructions are and diagrams are not at all clear. The build quality of the generator and the solenoid are sub standard too. The engraving to depict the resistances could be better in terms of contrast too. Struggle to recommend.

Easy, robust kit understand electronics. (I've waited all my life for this)
I always wanted to be a boffin, so I have been buying electronic components and have been trying out circuits on YouTube. I also have a Tronix Electronics Kit, and the Teenii STEM Physics Science Lab Basic Circuit Learning Starter Kit. The Teenii STEM Kit is to teach younger family members and it has a really good manual that helps me immensely explaining the science and physics in an understandable manner.
