Excellent set for any Halo fan
Mega Bloks has consistently satisfied with me with their support of the Halo franchise, but throughout the years of buying a set here and there, one can't help but feel the childhood stigma of Mega Bloks being inferior to Lego just hadn't worn off... At least until this set.Mega Bloks has really upped the ante in quality with this and their upcoming Halo 4 sets and I can say with full confidence that I am definitely glad to have the Halo franchise in their hands. This set is roughly equivalent to Lego quality for what is easily half the price for a comparable number of Lego bricks - a real bargain for the amount of effort that went into it. The attention to detail and likeness to the Halo 4 Warthog redesign is enough to excite any Halo enthusiast, and if you weren't a fan of Mega Bloks before, now is seriously a great time to turn it around. The Warthog itself is a great piece, and the suspension on the tires allows for some pretty dynamic shelf poses if you've got some terrain for it to be riding over. The turret swivels a full 360 degrees (though it mostly only has 90 degree swivel with a Spartan on the gun, especially if you stick a weapon on his back) horizontally and swivels a little up and down, and the back of the hog shows off the updated Halo 4 design (that we saw in the latest Forza game) with all 4 gas canisters in tow - it even goes as far as to include the ability for you to have the back swivel down for loading a spartan in, which is a great feature you don't see in the Amazon pictures. Both of the Spartans included are modeled off of the same Mjolnir armor that Master Chief wears in 4 and are quite well painted in a small step up from previous Spartan figures (I say small because the Spartans have always been fairly well painted). The Elite figure is also based off an entirely new sculpt, and is considerably better painted and slightly more articulated than the previous Elites - he's a real looker, and I love his sleek design. 4 weapons are included with the set: The new sticky detonator from Halo 4, an Assault Rifle (seems identical to previous molds) painted a new black color, a green Spartan Laser (unsure if this had been in previous sets), and a carbine with a slightly more lavender paint than previous ones.In addition to all that, the set also comes with a weapon drop pod (looks like the ones that showed up in Halo 2) that has 3 different pegs for an assortment of weapons to be placed inside (it opens and closes, but can be a little hard to get used to opening) and a piece of Forerunner technology with adjustable folds laying on a medium sized desert plate. You can't really do a lot with it for play, but it looks really nice for display and makes a good position for the Elite to defend. My only small complaints are that it's a little hard to fit a Spartan in the passenger seat of the Hog given the tube that "powers" the floodlight (be careful not to lose the transparent piece when you dump out the pieces), I had to use a little bit of putty to keep the turret's pole tight in how it moves, and that although it's relatively easy to build, the packages all need to be dumped out at once so you end up with a lot of pieces to sort through (some people have had problems with Mega Bloks doing this - it's a minor annoyance to me, but I figured I'd get that out there).Overall, it's a REALLY great set (that comes with a decent number of bonus pieces), and if we're in for this sort of quality in upcoming sets (which we certainly seem to be given the previews), both Halo and Mega Bloks fans have a lot to be looking forward to. If you've thought Mega Bloks were sorta mediocre in the past, give them another chance, I promise you will NOT be disappointed. And, hey, if you get just ONE set, why not make it this one? It's excellently priced, it's well made, and it's the Warthog, man! You don't get more iconic of Halo than having the Master Chief driving or gunning Covies down in a hog.

Awesome Set! But...$92?!
Amazing! Have had mine for three years and although I've lost the cool floodlight and the forrunner structure is now pieces in my parts bin, this thing is still awesome and to me, good as new. Is the most realistic to Halo 4 and 5 colored and detailed warthog I've seen so far. Even though the figures are an old mold, I would still get this set for the great vehicle. This was the first megabloks set I ever got, and it introduced me to both megabloks and the Halo games!!! Don't know what I would be doing now if it weren't for this set. Totally awesome with all the bars and details. But one thing I noticed made me bring this down to 4 stars... why is this $92? Would not by for this price! I got mine for $30 bucks! But that was in 2013...

Great set
My 9 year old LOVES Halo, and loves legos and mega bloks now. We've been doing a lot of the Halo sets, and I happened to see after Xmas that they had a bunch of them 40 to 60 percent off, so I grabbed a dozen different ones.As with all the megablok Halo sets, it's done very well and looks great. I used to dislike the way things were packaged, unlike Lego kits that have bags numbered and used for specific parts of the build... But I found that ultimately I like the lack of organization since now I've showed my 9 year old how to get all the bags open and start sorting out all the parts into piles so everything is organized and easy to find. I think that, for me, is now a bonus since he's getting really good at sorting things, analyzing different parts that have something in common (such as angled pieces of different sizes and shapes going in separate piles but all together so when he needs some angled piece, he knows what part of the floor to look for) and planning how to space them out so the ones he has to get the most often are within arms reach. That to me was like a lightbulb going off, since I was able to turn the negative into a great teaching tool. Especially with the large sets like the Elephant (almost 1300 pieces to sort and organize) and the new Forward Unto Dawn we have (that is almost 2900 pieces). For a 9 year old, having the colored dots showing exactly where each piece fits is great. It helps for the larger sets since it makes it easy to get each section done. He starts out intimidated by the sheer number of pieces, but as he starts he just focuses on a step at a time and has learned that large things are comprised of smaller things, and that if you take big things in small sections, it's not so overwhelming. Always an important lesson for kids to learn. No missing pieces in our set - but they have a great automated system online where you don't even have to talk to anyone to get the piece shipped out, so it couldn't be any easier to get any missing pieces. Everything fit fine - which is something I've had issue with Mega Bloks a few times, where the raised bumps weren't quite formed right and I had to pull out a knife and trim a bit for a piece to snap right. All in all was a steal for my sale price, and we're very happy with this kit. It looks awesome, and he really enjoys playing with it.

Great Buy
I love mega bloks. They are built superior to legos in the sets. I love how they blend the bricks to give you a unique looks that is really 1 of a kind to your individual set. This set is amazing because it gives you a true machine gun warthog. Something every halo fan recognizes. The toy is great fun and rolls quite well. As for difficulty to put together I would say 2 of 5. Only downside I personally dislike is the "ammo can". on the two other warthog sets I own it is an actual ammo can that fits well. With this one it is 3 pieces that do not work anywhere near as well.

More than 40 missing parts
I am so disappointed in it, there are more than 40 missing parts in this set. I spent an hour help my 7 year old boy to checked with all the parts. I'm shipping it straight out to get my refund back. I also tried to call Megablocks customer service, but never be able to get a hold to anybody. VERY FRUSTRATED!!!
