🦞 Dive into vibrant aquatic life with our CPO Crayfish pair!
The CPO Dwarf Mexican Crayfish features a beautiful, eye-catching fiery orange coloration that will add a burst of color to any aquarium! They are one of the most brightly colored varieties of invertebrates we offer, and their large size draws the eye right to them. Additionally, they are easy to care for, and their feeding requirements are simple - they feed on leftover food or almost any kind of fish food. They will also eat high protein sinking pellets, veggies or plants, and freeze-dried or frozen foods. Cuttlebone can be added to the aquarium to supplement calcium and will aid in exoskeleton production. Dwarf crayfish are among our favorite invertebrates here at Aquatic Arts and an excellent choice for the nano or micro aquarium. They are larger than dwarf shrimp (they can grow up to 1.6 inches long) and tend to live much longer, but are still small enough to live in a tank as small as 5 gallons. If you plan on attempting to breed your pair of crayfish, pay close attention to your tank parameters with the use of tools like a TDS meter and pH increaser or decreaser. Though this crayfish is small enough not to be a threat to most other tank inhabitants, they have on occasion gone after dwarf shrimp (such as Tiger Shrimp, etc.), so we can not guarantee safety for dwarf shrimp when raising them in the same tank. Most cichlids and goldfish are aggressive toward crayfish, and bottom feeders should also be avoided. Thus, dwarf crayfish can only be kept in some community tanks with snails (like Olive Jade Mystery Nerites, etc.) and fast moving fish (e.g. Harlequin Rasboras, Tiger Barbs, etc.)CARE GUIDELINES:- Temperature: 60 - 75° F (16 - 24° C) - pH: 6.0 – 8.0 - KH: 6 - 12 dKH - Minimum tank size: 5 gallons - Average adult size: 1.2 - 1.6 inches (3 - 4.1 cm) - Average purchase size: 1/2 - 1.5 inches (2.5 - 3.8 cm)

Best aquarium purchase!
It's now been 6 months and my little crayfish are still lively, healthy and so fun to watch! They are very entertaining and cute! I was skeptical to buy live animals online, but aquatic arts was absolutely fantastic! I would highly highly recommend them. All of the plants and animals I ordered were healthy and are still alive and thriving.I did have one snail not arrive alive and they took care of it immediately and very politely. I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer! If you're debating about the crayfish you definitely should get them. They are awesome! I have them in a 30 gallon tank with fish (mostly tetras,) and some snails. I've seen no issues with fins fraying etc. Seem to be pretty agreeable little guys. Very fun to watch!

Very happy cpos
I ordered 3 of these little guys to add to a tank which already contained two wild colored dwarf Crays and two dwarf cpos which I purchased at my LFS. The Crays I ordered arrived in perfect condition, one even molted during transport. They were extremely carefully packaged and after a few hours of drip acclimation I added them to my tank with no problems. I have them for a little over a month and all are doing well. I can't recommend aquatic arts enough!I have also attached photos of what I saw when I opened the box as well as my newly received cpos attempting to mate during drop acclimation. Such healthy and vibrant specimens! Very happy with my purchase.

Undoubtedly one of my favorite aquarium additions!
I ordered 6 of these little guys from Aquatic Arts. As a hobby I have quite a few aquariums running in my house and these are definitely one of my favorites so far. I've only had them a week now but they are all seem to be very healthy, well colored and active. They don't hide unless molting. I have them in a planted 55 gallon aquarium with ram cichlids, tetras, danios, and dojo loaches. They flex (pump up, like "come at me bro") on each other but they don't seem to get too serious about fighting and I think they are too small to really do any serious damage to each other. I've seen one of the rams nip at them but it was more of a 'what are you and would you taste good?' kind of nip, he backed right off. They run face to face and bump (and even crawl on) into my loaches quite frequently and neither the loaches or the crays seem to have any ill intentions toward each other. So, I'd go as far to say they are pretty darn peaceful, and they don't bother my plants at all and even if they did they are so small they couldn't really do much damage anyway. Again, even at their max size I can't see them causing much havoc, but from the little reading I've done about them it sounds like betas and other slow fish with long soft fins/tails shouldn't be housed with them although I'm sure you could get away with it in a sizable tank. This is my second order from Aquatic Arts (first was blue velvet shrimp). I was a little disappointed about the shrimp order because they are very small. I wanted to put those in the same tank but they would certainly become a meal rather than an ornament. This would be my fault though as I somehow overlooked the approximate shipping size in the Amazon item title. I am hoping they grow or breed in the small fish bowl I have them in now.I have a lot of faith in Aquatic Arts and I'm thinking they will likely become my number one source for live fish/plants/inverts. Their selection is excellent and well priced. Looking through their website they seem to have specialized their inventory to more interesting species (i'm guessing species they've taken a liking to their selves) rather than carrying everything. They seem to be on top of their game and care about their customers, their products and their live creatures. As others have noted my shipments were very well packaged.Highly suggested!

VERY SMALL
These are so small once they are put into the tank you will not see them again. I order Blue for the same price and they came in much larger.

These little guys are a great addition to any aquarium
These little guys are a great addition to any aquarium. They are so fun to watch as they have lots of personality! You can't go wrong with Aquatic Arts. Their products are all top notch and they really care about their livestock. When I've ordered from Aquatic Arts, I've always received healthy critters, who arrive safely and are exactly how they were described (or better)! David and Crystal really care about their customers and will keep in touch and respond to any questions you may have. Their prices are great too. You can't go wrong with them! Or these little crayfish! They stay small enough that they do not bother other fish or plants, but they are big enough to see scampering around conducting crayfish business. I've named mine Mulder and Scully because they take themselves very seriously and are always investigating my tank!

Healthy young CPO crayfish -- thriving and growing
The media could not be loaded. This wasn't my first purchase from Aquatic Arts, so I knew to expect a carefully packed shipment with healthy animals, and that's exactly what I got.I ordered a male and a female. Can't tell which is which, but one has grown significantly more than the other, so I figure that'd be the boy.Six weeks since arrival, they have both grown, the larger one pretty much doubling in size. They forage during daytime, and are fun to watch. Seem to be too slow to catch any of the shrimp, and with there being a couple of hundred of shrimp in the tank, with lots of hiding places, that's not a huge concern at the moment.I'm glad I got them, and will definitely buy from Aquatic Arts again.
