Good question My sister is spending the much higher price for lab grade, I am staying with this cheaper version which comes off the same production line but doesn't have all the expensive certifications. It comes down to your belief in lab grade. I haven't had any issues with ingesting the 1 liter.

It's 1 percent, so 1 ml is 1cc which is 1 gram, it's 10mg per cc. 1000 ccs is one liter which is 10 grams. 1 teaspoon is 5ml which is 50 mlligrams

Good price

I use Methylene Blue frequently in my fish tank and with prices going up it was becoming an expensive operation since I have four large tanks. I found this product and it works the same as the brand name product I was buying previously . I like the fact that I am saving quite a bit of money and getting the same results. I would recommend this product and plan on buying it again

Got this for my quarantine fish.

I quarantine all my fish before I put them in my main tank, let them soak a little in this to kill any fungal or ick that I don't want getting into my tank. Does the job nicely.

Huge amount for a low price

Comparing it to products with the exact same chemical makeup you are actually buying this for a quarter the price you would pay from any other source. It's laboratory grade not Pharmaceutical but the two share the same chemical makeup the laboratory grade just Lacks this seal of approval that it does not have heavy metals this is the difference between the two and is a point that should be considered depending on what you're getting it for. This is not to say it has those heavy metals but is to say it is not certified without them and only certified for laboratory use. Your discretion is your own.
