7 1/4 is Medium, with adjustable rope inside sweatband, you can reduce the size to fit your head. (7 1/4 can be adjusted from 21 5/8 to 22 3/4)

Yes, XL size hat are available on sale. Size XL fits head circumference 23 7/8 in.

Q: Are they too hot for warm weather?

I guess it depends on how hot. I probably won’t wear it on hot sticky days
