Great Chore Leggings once you find your right size
Waist 27, hips 35, inseam 29-30. Both the small and x-small in regular and short lengths work ok in the midweight and lightweight for me. Xs short is my preferred size because they completely stay in place once they’re on; small short is fine but a little roomier after I’ve been moving a bit; regular length, I have to bunch at the knee or ankle. They both will stretch but not a ton. I was needing pants that would fair well to outside work and do well around animals and have enough room for my phone. I’m currently clearing trails with a blower and mix of saws and cutting briar vines. Women's jeans have such shallow pockets that my phone kept falling out. Both the lightweight and midweight Carhartts have proven durable and comfortable, both with plenty of phone pocket room. It’s a little more than challenging to find your right size, but it is totally worth the frustration. Hopefully, this review will make it a little easier for you. The midweight have darted patches over the knees. If these patches don’t line up, you can’t bend your knee. I’m a 29-30 inseam, so for the midweight, I need a short length. If you get the wrong length in the midweight, you have to bunch the fabric at the knee, not the ankle. Altering the midweight length will not work; the lightweight don’t have this issue. Because they don’t have patches, the regular length in the lightweight just means a little extra material at my ankle that will go in my boots. The lightweight material is a little stretchier than the midweight material. The material on both at the calves is not forgiving and a little tight. (I do have athletic calves). Going up a size, gives you a little more room in the calf area, but just a little. Both are a little difficult to first get in to but feel great once they are on. For field or barn work, both are great- the midweight is a little more durable but hotter. The midweight are fine up to about 75-80 degrees outside; otherwise use the lightweight. For office work, the midweight could look appropriate with boots but not the lightweight. Seams on the lightweight run on the sides and look more like a workout legging. I hike and run but would not recommend either of these for that. Use them for what they are made for- outdoor chore leggings. Pockets are different in all of the styles. The midweight have front and back full pockets and a small side pocket. The lightweight have a right side zippered pocket and double pocket on the left side that I use for my phone. The lightweight ankle are a 27” stretched inseam and have no zipper but pockets on both sides (go with these if you are petite). I hope this review helps someone. These really are great leggings.

Rugged, comfortable work pants with thoughtful features
I love these pants. They have useful pockets and a handy loop. They fit true to size. I’m 5’8” 180 lbs, with a short waist, long legs, thick thighs, and solid butt. I ordered the medium tall, and they are perfect. I have an older pair of the medium regular. They are annoyingly too short, but still excellent quality pants, after many washes. I have a pair in size large regular, from when I was 30 lbs heavier, and those sadly do not stay up, anymore. My other pairs have lasted 3 years and 5 years, through very physical jobs on horse farms and in an auto shop, and they still look like new. As with all my expensive lycra-containing leggings, these get hung to dry, and never go in the dryer. I expect the new pair will last a long time, too, since Carhartt makes genuinelyrugged clothing with thoughtful design.Highly recommend.

Great Leggins
These are thicker material than a workout style legging. They wear very comfortable while being more heavy duty but with stretch. I usually wear a medium but sized down to a small in these. I’m 5’3” athletic build 141 lbs with 39” hips and the small fit perfectly for length and width! The side pockets are great! They can be dressed up or down.

Durable, work ready
Other than I find that they need belt loops, these are comfortable and tough leggings. Not the coolest in hot weather, but not miserable either.I have a 34” waist and 36” inseam, the xl tall fits. They are even long enough! The pockets are good for a cellphone and a small wallet, that’s about it.As I worked on a very hot, sweaty day, the leggings began to sag so that the crotch was several inches below my crotch, making swinging a leg over difficult and awkward, hence the need for some sturdy belt loops.I got this pair on sale, making them a terrific buy.

The pockets are the BEST! Like wearing a purse!
These leggings are the best! They’re well constructed, almost impossible to rip or damage and have great pockets - wearing them is like wearing a purse! They fit like a glove and look splendid alone or under something else. Wash and wear, no problem in the dryer either! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

ideal when you want a medium weight durable legging in a longer length
I am 5'8, 130lbs, normally a size 4, long legs so 33" inseam. I bought small tall. I wish they were 1 inch longer - they catch me right at the ankle but with a pair of black socks with low boots you'd never know (photo). They look good tucked in tall boots too. My Samsung Note 5 phone with the rubber part of an Otter case attached, fits in the left pocket. FANTASTIC!! They are not "painted on" - firm but not super tight fit in the seat, thigh or waist. The waist keeps that little muffin in. I can crouch with ease. Other people remarked on how wide the crotch was but I find them comfy and not so tight that you get crotch bite. These are mid-weight and I can tell they will be extremely useful for cool weather travel and golf. I wish I had them for my recent trips to Ireland and Scotland. I will use in October on a trip to Amsterdam. I think these are appropriate for any age. I would buy another pair if only they were offered in another color.

Good concept but awkward fit
I agree with the reviewer who said that this is a good concept but they haven't got the fit right yet.Pros: come in Tall sizes (I'm 5'10" & the Tall length was good), rugged fabric, lots of useful pockets.Con: the fit! The waistband won't stay up even in the proper size and the crotch area is baggy. With some fit tweaks these could be great leggings and I would definitely buy them for working and hiking!
