Great Travel Rod
Took this rod to Baha California to Surf fish March 2021. I was using a 300 Piscifun Alijoz reel with 10 lb mono. I hooked a 27 inch Pacific White Snook in the surf. The fish hit the metal lure and took off like a freight train. It took about 10 minutes to land he fish because of the surf and the light line I was using. The rod action is great although casting distance was minimal because the metal lure I was using was only 1 1/4 ozs. The rod is beautifully made and a great value.

Great but overpriced
Good. Not as amazing as suggested. Very portable and decent quality. I matched my set with a low profile shimano caenan reel. I remove the reel and package everything in the travel cast along with prerigged leader tackle set. Then I carry frozen squid in a thermos in my backpack along with rain gear, water and snacks. The setup makes it much easier to take a long walk to your fishing spot.I am planning on seweing mesh and velcro pockets on the inside lid of this case to better organize my tackle.Overall, great but I dont think it is worth the price. At half price, this would be 5 stars.

Product description wrong. great quality but too stiff.
I purchased this rod because it says it's for inshore. I fish from the shore and kayak, so I was looking for a "light tackle" rod that I could cast and jig with. I found it was pretty stiff, so I had trouble casting 1/2oz lures, but it was strong enough that jigging was no problem.I really want to like this rod. It's great quality, super light, and portable, but it's just too stiff. Also the case looks like it's good quality material, but it's coming apart at the seams.FYI the product description on this site is incorrect the line weight is rated 10~20 lbs not 10-17lbs, so check Okuma's site for the correct specs before purchasing.Pros:- light weight, and sturdy- great quality- case has good quality material, and no problems with TSACons:- too stiff/slow action for typical inshore fishing- case stitching started falling apart after a couple trips

Nice but
I like the rod but for some reason I had to cut some of the cork above the reel seat in order to fit reel. A penn 25 fathom wouldn’t fit.Looks like crap. See picture
