My observations.
Okay so this is my first ever bow, recurve or compound. Believe me I agonized over buying this. I read all the reviews, here and elsewhere. I hemmed and hawed over buying it. I wanted a bow I wasn't going to be sick of in 3 weeks. I looked at PSE, Red Head, Stringer and a few others. Finally I pulled the trigger on this deal. After all I wanted to be able to take my daughter shooting, which she loves, and do more than stand there.Let me be odd and start with the cons I noticed.Cons:If you know nothing about assembling a bow, good luck. Directions are non existent. If you have the #70 draw weight like mine, forget shooting with your fingers. Unless you don't like your fingers. (Then go ahead)No stabilizer, peep sight, D-Loop or arrows come with this.Pros:Cost me about $90 to get: D-Loop, Peep sight (installed), Arrows, Tips and a caliper release. (Arrows alone were $35 and caliper was another $35 so right there was $70.)Lightweight bow. Not hard to hold and fire.Sight is decent, not top of the line but a good sight for a beginner who is target shooting. The arrow rest is nice. A bit odd as the odd colored Feather goes down instead of away from the bow as usual. But once you're used to it, it is easy. Haven't had one fall out yet.Arrows zips to target. At 310 FPS it is quick. I have seen bows that cost $200 more that only go 328 FPS in my search so to me at 20 yards 18 FPS isn't that big a deal.Let's talk about the big issue, COST. The cheapest bow in my area at a store was close to $370 for an adult size bow. So even with the $90 and the $17 for the stabilizer I STILL came out less than $370 but about $50 bucks which is another set of 12 arrows.BTW for those wondering, with a #70 draw weight I am shooting "Blackout X5" in the 340 weight. (From BPS) Seems like a good match.November 7, 2013 - UPDATESo been shooting this bow for a while now. A few things to note.1. The arrow rest that comes with this bow is okay. It's not great. I keeps the arrows in but can do a number of fletches. Doens't seem to tear mine but leaves some black marks on them. I'll be replacing the rest soon.2. Sight - The sight is fine. I'm just adding a few pins for farther distances. This comes with three pins, which I have set for 20/30 and 40 yards. Makes dropping an arrow in from 80 yards can be a challenge.Overall I still like this bow. Shooting pretty tight groups with it at 20 yards.

Poor instructions
So far this bow looks like it will be a good product. It is sturdy and appears to be well built. However, the instructions that were provided are very poor and being a new bow user, it took us a while to figure out how to put it together. The instructions for the string mount and sight were non-existent - only 1 picture of a completed bow to reference to figure it out. NOW We have to tackle the adjustments so I can use it (the draw is currently set too high). It says it comes with everything to get started but does not include arrows, so make sure you order some. I'll update this post when I get the opportunity to shoot.

Good bow for the money
I really like this bow its fast and accurate. I would definitely recommend it but there are some cons to. The rest is awful. You will need to get a new one so your arows don't get damaged. The finish is pretty but chips essay. Having said that though the bow is well worth 200 dollars and its a great starter.

WRONG ITEM RECEIVED, DO NOT ORDER THIS FROM AMAZON
Placed my order for 6 of these bows on December 22nd with 2 day shipping. They shipped 2 out seperately and when I received them (2 seperate days) they were both FLETCHING JIGS!! Not the bow I ordered. I called the first day and was given a replacement order for a bow and told to ship the jig back. Today I received the 2nd shipment which was a jig as well. Today they tell me sorry we cant create a replacement order because we are now out of stock and dont know when they will be in stock!! You werent out of stock when I ordered the item, how are you out of stock now and Still owe me 6 bows. Amazon customer service has been no help to this point. Just wanted me to wait a few days for them to get them in, but couldnt create a new order showing they owe me 6 bows instead of 5. Not acceptable, I repeatedly asked to speak to someone else and was told NO, that no one else was available. That their managers did not handle customer service calls.

Product worthy of its' price
I was in the market for a Compound Bow that was reasonably priced, yet also integrated some of the newer technology and the Martin Threshold is almost too good to be true.As $200, it is IMPOSSIBLE and probably ignorant to try and compare it with similar boss on the market simply because neither Bowtech, nor PSE as well as others make a Compound Bow with these features at this price. The Bow itself is strong Aluminum, ergonomically comfortable and has a beautiful camo finish. It comes with a decent rest ($15 alone for the cheapest one at a retail store), a sight ($17), a quiver ($20), as well as the standard stabilizer bar. Therefore it's almost as if the Bow itself is selling for around $150, which is the price of a decent youth bow.It breaks down easily (if you know anything about Compound Bows) and is easy to adjust.I understand others' complaints about wanting better instructions, but what everyone should do (the proper, safe and intelligent thing to do) is go to your nearest Archery store/Dealer and have a professional measure your Draw Length (the 60-70lb version adjusts from 26-31"), as too many people have difficulty with their equipment because of this simple factor. They can also help you adjust draw weight as well as your sight preferences.Shooting this Bow is much like shooting my Bowtech, which cost more than 3 times as much.It goes without saying that you need to purchase a caliper release w/T-strap, unless you honestly can pull 60-70lbs of concentrated pressure on the 1/4 inch area of skin between your pointer and middle fingers.Overall this is a No-brained purchase for first time Bow owners, or anyone looking for an exceptional Bow at an amazing price.Hopefully this helps and reminds buyers to review the product with logic and common sense and avoid spoiled, entitled remarks that have nothing to do with qulity and value.
