It doesn’t have a horrible smell like some do. No ammonia either. Colour is really rich, turned out just as it said it would. Very happy.

This product is great leaving your hair soft and the colour is as described. You can trust Garnier to produce good quality products but do follow the instructions and do a patch test and wait 48 hours to see if you can use it (as some people might experience an allergic reaction which can happen with any hair colour product). As Garnier changes ingredients with each batch you must always do a 48 hour patch test even if you are using the same product and the same colour. I bought two packs of LIGHT GOLDEN BROWN as I have been dying my mid brown hair a little lighter to light golden brown with a different brand and thought this looked good. Bought two boxes for my very long hair. My hair turned out nearly BLACK and the condition is terrible...just terrible. I am devastated as with it being so dark and now in extremely poor condition-it actually SNAPPED OFF a large chunk when I used hair straighteners two weeks later...my fiancee hardly recognized me and I will have to have about five inches of my beautiful length cut off and cannot have colour as there will be more damage so stuck for the summer and onwards with horrible rough black hair, NEVER used a dye that was so bad AND it claims to be nourishing- I have used peroxide in the past as well as ammonia and it worked so much better than this with no damage. Horrific ! The back of the box shows the light brown shade should have LIGHTENED my hair by two shades not darkened it by three! I am gutted a month after using this my hair is still terrible despite so many deep conditioning treatments.
