Have Fun, Molly Lou Melon

My four year old loves the first Molly Lou Melon book and we have read it over and over. It's a great story and I highly recommend it, particularly for any child who needs a self-confidence boost. I was very happy to see this sequel. It is written in a similar style to the first book but this book is all about using your imagination instead of counting on fancy toys or television for entertainment. My daughter has begun asking for this one as well. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that Gertie, the girl who moves in next door, uses crutches. Nice inclusion of a special needs child without making a big deal about it, which I appreciate as my daughter uses a wheelchair. Kudos to the author and we will definitely be looking for more Molly Lou books in the future.

I made my order Friday and was supposed to receive this by the following Tuesday, and I got it a day early! It arrived in PERFECT condition. I read through it immediately and loved it! I loved the first book when my teacher read it to me in second grade. Now I am a teacher and can't wait to read it to my kiddos!

Quite a novel character with very real situations. We are a white family with a black adopted little girl, we look for ways to show her that "different" is wonderful, we wouldn't change a thing about her and she is her own person. For any little girls who might feel "different in ANY way these are so much fun.

I loved it! I also loved the first one too. Patti Lovell's words are just perfect. I love the simplicity of her words and the rhythmic flow of her writing makes this perfect for primary grades.David Catrow always cracks me up and kids love his hilarious illustrations. Molly is a lovable little girl that most little ones can identify with, and she will touch everyone's hearts.This is one of those books that parents should be grabbing and rushing home to read it to their little ones.I can't wait to share this gem with primary kids, parents and teachers!

I just love this book so much! Get this book! I cannot say anything other than it is perfect!!!

Such a great book that teaches children of this day and age about the importance of using their imagination versus technology to play. I would love my Molly Lou Melon books. Plus I love the wild afros.
