Samsung QE55Q80RA 55" QLED 4K, HDR 1500, Smart TV

After doing lots of research and Black Friday was looming I decided to stick with Samsung and get the best I could afford. I am not disappointed, the TV with all its features are awesome. One setup and connected to the internet it all comes alive. I have mine mounted on a pedestal stand (same as wall mounting) which was simple enough. I would recommend 2 people to lift into place.It took a few days getting the colours tones right and all the smart apps setup but I have to say the picture quality is stunning. With Sky Q in Ultra HD watching football is amazing as is playing Xbox games. My only suggestion would be for Samsung to design a better remote as the arrow keys are widely used for input and you can often catch the return or exit button which is annoying. You do get a 2nd remote which is simpler and provides good day to day functions.

All I wanted was a TV really but I got this thing that nearly cooks dinner and washes the dishes too. As a tv it looks good, the picture is good and the sound is good. The "normal" remote is a bit busy in layout but works well, the clever one works well too but I don't like Bixby (the voice control thingy) - must be because I'm old. So I've turned it off - otherwise every now and then it interrupts the programme I am viewing to tell me it can't understand me, which as I have said nothing is not surprising. Otherwise working my way around the various sources for tv programming is quite simple and illuminating (so much stuff you could watch if you had the time). Because my Sky box is routed through my DVD (I hear some of you saying "what's a dvd?") player it thinks my DVD player/recorder is SKY and does not know what to call the Sky box input (says "unknown"). I don't really care about it's ability to take a picture of my wall behind it or odd bits of "Art" or the (very simplified) weather forecast but these things exist. I like it.

Bought this for 899£ on boxing day afte i've sent back the q70r model , massive difference in picture quality and viewing angle.

Great picture and reaonable sound for a flat screen, USB media player does not support DTS! come on Samsung you can do better than this.

Great tv, great picture but...The voice activated remote tells you the service provider is not set upAnd there are no options to set it upThere are some things you need voice activation for because they just aren't on any menu, when you ask it to set up the service provider it says it can't do itSeems to be a firmware snafu, but Samsung not doing anything to fixOnce they do will recommend the tv but really can't, in fact will probably return it in favour of the LG C9, even though I think this is a better TV all round

Just update my place with this new amazing television from Samsung, far way the best brand on the market regarding TV's!! The details about the Qled sort of Samsung is just beautiful!!
