Very simple electronic circuit inside
After disassembling (photo attached), I've found cheap and primitive schematic: diode bridge B6S, and two resistors (10 Ω and 62 Ω). Hence cannot give more than 4 stars. On a cloudy day, when the measured illuminance is near 6000 lux, the solar panel generates 6.3 V.LED bulbs are covered by rubber closure. Good for standing on firm surface.Amazon description says that "2 AA batteries required". This is a big mistake, since the product is powered from built-in Ni-MH rechargable battery (3.6 V, 40 mAh).Also I cannot agree with the statement "Includes Premium Gift Box". The box is a plain recycled paper, which unlikely suitable for premium gift. For those interested in User Manual, see attached photo.Made for swisssafeproducts.com in China.I wonder, how many years this flashlight will keep initial performance, considering the aging of rechargeable battery and solar panel.

handy & bright
This light is remarkably bright for a small solar light. I like the clip on it for putting on a belt loop or purse strap. And very light weight & small so easy to carry it that way also. The only reason I gave it a 4 & not a five is that I got the glow in the dark one in case of a power outage but this only glows in the dark after being under a bright light. I keep mine on a kitchen window sill to be handy but it does not receive enough direct sunlight there to glow in the dark but enough for the light to be quite bright. So it's great light but if you want the glow in the dark feature make sure you have a window sill with a lot of direct light or a bright light to keep it under.

Fun little flashlights
Our kids like to have flashlights next to their beds at night but kept running down batteries. These made both of us happy because no more batteries to replace and they enjoyed the "novelty" of charging it up. The solar is a nice touch as well and should keep it topped off with minimal use. These would also be great for hooking to your backpack for camping/school so that you don't need to worry about it running out of juice on you at a bad time.Quality/durability is good enough that a kid isn't going to break it without some effort. If I had to guess the hook will be the first thing to break, and then maybe the hand crank (although the crank does feel like its made from a better material than the case/clip). We haven't had any issues yet though.Wish it had some sort of battery indicator... but the battery does seem a decent size as I have been using it for a few weeks and haven't needed to crank it yet.

Surprised.
Sat this in a window on a very sunny day to see how well it would charge. Charged it up and the light is good enough for what you would need it for.Haven't used the crank but it feels sturdy and I wouldn't worry about it should I need to go that route. After I charged it for one day I placed it back in the box. Several days latter I was surprised to see it still charged when I took it out and turned it on.Casing seems durable, it's not thin and fragile feeling. Belt clip feels sturdy too.Worth the price.

Does not glow in the dark
Not sure if i just got a green opaque cover but does not glow in dark at all. Other than that i have 2 other of these in ranger green & are good for backup or spare lite. But not very bright

Rechargeable flashlight with solar power and hand crank
I love this product! However, one "negative" is that it didn't glow "in the dark" as indicated. However, the product works like a charm! Thanks!

loudest crank ever
Likes: lightweight, carabiner, color, glows in the dark (easy to find in the dark!), and the solar panel means there's more than one avenue to charge.Dislike: loudest. crank. ever. I can't crank power this without giving my husband an instant headache. Thankfully, we don't have a dog. It's a very high pitched whine noise. I've had flashlights like this before (different brands) and none of them made that noise.
