HP iPAQ HX4705 Pocket PC

I've had about 7 PDA's starting with a Handspring DX. I went on to CLIE's and decided to go to PPC.My first was a Toshiba e740 and I don't really want to go into the problems that I had with that one. Basically it was terrible and so was customer service. I then went with a Dell Axim 5 ADV because I thought that it had the most bang for the buck. It was very good at what I needed it for and it served me well for 2.5 years. I gave it to my son and decided to splurge on an IPaq.This 4700 is great. Plenty of ram, fast processor, dedicated graphics processor ( I don't play many games, but you can't believe the display with some 3D games ), 2 card slots and WiFi and Bluetooth. Sure it is on the high end regarding cost, but I can say that this is more of a notebook replacement than a PDA.If you're looking for bang for buck, check this out. Remember, you get what you pay for.

este equipo vino con la bateria dañada, por primera vez en mi vida que me siento engañado comprando producto en amazon, despues que recibi el producto lo puse a cargar por 8 hora y despues que lo desconecte me dice que la bateria esta baja de carga que realice una copia de seguridad, aparte que el equipo esta rallado, esta muy viejo para el precio que tiene, honestamente no vale ni 70 dolares el producto

I have had my iPAQ for almost a year and bought it because of positive reviews and the high quality of its screen. I was just told by an "HP repair status specialist" that the motherboard must be replaced and there is no power to the motherboard. I only ever used it to read e-books, run a program called ePocrates - a medication database, play solitaire, and keep up with addresses and phone numbers. I could never get the wireless capability to work. It was reliable for my limited use for about six months and then began it's slow decline. I have updated it, kept "patches" current, and spent about 5 hours of my time with various online and telephone support personnel. I really miss my old Clie. My Dell Axim is also better than the HP.

The latest most powerful ipaq from hp is an improvement...but still is in no way a "pocket" pc or a laptop replacement.Just trying running more than one application at the same time (streaming a video and checking mail, etc.).Definitely not a device for the business/enterprise yet, but the promise is there.Only true improvements over prior models is a/v streaming (but not over vpn network, encrypted wifi, or while bluetooth headset is attached), and the VGA screen.Just try loading PPC applications with network drives mounted or browsing large corporate networks...be ready to reboot...and I reboot it probably 40+ times daily with heavy use.It's a great toy/gizmo...but definitely not a serious device yet.I'm still waiting...these PDAs are still underpowered by 400% or so.

This is a great product. I've been a Palm user for years and wanted to try something new.It's easy to set up and use right out of the box. Any Windows user will love it. It's very user friendly. It's almost like working on your desktop at home.If you manage any large files, you'll want to get a SD storage card, since the unit only has 64 RAM.

Product turned on when I bought it, but would not charge. Battery eventually died, leaving me with an iPAQ that will not turn on at all. To make matters worse, the HX4700 series will soon no longer be supported by HP, so they cannot do anything for me! The seller never mentioned this problem, and VERY LIKELY sold it knowing he could not get anything for it. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

The best by far. This is my second one. I wanted a back up in case there is ever a problem.It has everything necessary for business including wi-fi.I love this thing!
