To DVD, Or Not To DVD. THAT Is The Question.
If you're reading this review, then one of two things have happened:1. You're looking for a replacement or an upgrade.2. When you called Dell Tech Support and "Peggy" told you how much a new one costs from them, you fell on the floor.This module, for me, was an upgrade to my brother's Dell Latitude D520. He has every other drive, so I decided that I would get him the burner for Christmas. This generation of DVD Burner is slow, and do keep in mind that with the older PC's, it takes longer, but it's always good to have this in the system. Back in the day, these were options, not standard equipment. I can remember when these were over $100.00. Good Lord, that's a lot of money.Do make sure to keep a screw in these players, as over time, they become easier to remove, and they can slip out and fall to the ground. (Been there, done that). It only takes 43 seconds to apply the screw.

Easy set up, just plug and play.
..now my dell is complete i just burn some family videos, i tested on my regular dvd and they are great, it was time to get an affordable unit., went to compusa but the cost was high., good thing i found this one.delivered on time, so far is working great. thanks.
