Red Devil0314 Steel Wool, 1 Medium (Pack of 16),Gray

Upon the suggestion of an experienced plumber, I ordered the 0000 super fine grit Steel Wool to clean and polish copper pipe. It enables me to remove the imperfections from the pipe without scratching up the copper. I use it with vinegar and salt to clean the really dirty pipe and fittings as well as Brasso to perform the final cleaning and polish.I also used it to successfully clean my $400 Ruffoni copper pan. It was extremely tarnished from years of use and I had actually retired it for quite some time as I had been hestitant on using anything to clean it due to concern of ruining it.

I used this on my cabinets after washing them with Murphy's Oil Soap, and wiping them down with mineral spirits to remove built up grime, grease and cigarette smoke. In conjunction with Howard's Bees wax and carnauba wax emulsion, The finish is smoother, cleaner and has a wonderful depth and luster the cabinets probably never had.

Works as expected. There are many uses for steel wool, but I purchased solely for the purpose of cleaning the chrome on my truck as well as the windows. 0000 steel wool is the finest you can get and won't scratch the chrome or glass. It made all of my chrome look new again. I also used it to clean our stainless steel kitchen sink and it made it like new again. I will be buying more for sure. BTW, I only used water while using the steel wool, no chemicals used whatsoever. Hope this review helps you.

Great for scrubbing metal and also having some fun at night lol. I mean it's steel wool it is what it is but this was fast cheap and got the job done.

So this was fine.Just a warning to you if you haven't used steel wool in a while: steel wool dust will get ALL over the place. Buy a mask too.

I bought this following the suggestion of a craft book to use 0000 steel wool to polish copper wire before doing wire wrapping. I don't have a ton of experience using steel wool, but I have been happy with this.It is very easy to polish my wire with this, just wrap one of the pads around the piece of wire and run it up and down a few times. This action actually even straightens the wire a little bit, which is an added bonus. It is comfortable to hold in my (ungloved) hands and doesn't shed any little bits all over my work surface. I intend to use it for a long time before replacing, so I am doing my best to keep it dry. I understand this might not have the same performance when it gets wet as it does when it's dry, so do keep that in mind. (Steel can definitely rust, and the smaller the fibers, the greater the surface area with respect to the overall volume of the product. More surface area means more chances for rust.)Anyway, my wire looks good (and unscratched -- I am using pure copper wire, non-coated) after I polish with this so I am happy.

Some people use the Magic Eraser or other products to clean the porcelain range top. For many years I've used Quad Ought (0000) Steel Wool to not only clean the porcelain stove top.. but many other steel items. In fact, it's great on the Toaster Oven's Window with burned on splatters! This steel wool WILL NOT scratch glass. I've used it on our home's windows too to remove stains and gunk which have blown onto them. I've used it on our Stainless Steel skillet bottoms and pans which have burned on protean on them. Just add a little chlorinated cleanser and scrub away! Just remember to go with the GRAIN of the steel. You'll get it clean and a nice shine. Same for porcelain coated steel.I've been using this for 30 years or more and I highly recommend it.

Worked great for what I needed! As some of the comments, I also bought these for the hard water stains on my shower door... these and barkeepers friend/water paste that was recommended worked like a charm! (With some elbow grease) nothing else had worked until now!

Perfect for many uses.Try cleaning tough to remove marks on glass - Quad zero wool is not abrasive enough to scratch surface.Better than any glass cleaner.

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We have 6 months of cold winter, yearly. Living in an older house,which shifts. I get gaps under doors . Mice get cold in winter and look for warm places to sneak into. This is the best thing to stop mice from coming in ! They detest steel wool ~ probably the only thing they WILL NOT chew on ! This is the remedy to keep them out, very strong and great price to fill the gaps! Wonderful product!

The worst product , no label , no brand, just have 5 piece instead of 8 in plastic pouch. Definitely not recommended dont waste money here.
