this was a replacement for the that came with the casserole dish. wore the first one out. works great stays warm for several hours.

Only tried the cooling so far - use it for my lunch bag. It is a freezer gel, they all pretty much work the same, the more gel you have the longer your food will stay cold.

Bought this to replace a hot pack that I use to keep casserole dishes warm. Works great, but I did need the larger size.

Not advisable for hot food
The product split open and we had the inner liquid all over my son's lunchbox. Used twice - heated on microwave for 2 minutes on normal setting.
