Relieved the backpack is very well made. Not a stitch out of place. This pack converts into a large or standard size backpack.
Suprisingly good quality comparing to some of the reviews purchased in Sept 2016. I thought they were making a bad batch or something because right after I bought this backpack 2 negative reviews came up concerning the quality of the backpack. I immediately checked every zipper (both under and inside out) and checked all the stitching & corners. Very solid. Not one single thread sticking out and all the finishing stitches are solid. Stitching is consistent and doesn't get too close to the edges. Zippers are all double zips for easy access. Very solid. Just what you would expect from a high quality backpack. I was relieved this was put together well because I thought I may have purchased at the wrong time given the recent negative reviews. Quite the contrary. This backpack is made very well and has some added advantages I didnt expect.Perhaps I didnt understand the title "Expandable Tactical" but this feature is pretty cool. There is a zipper at the bottom of the pack that zips around the entire perimiter of the shoulder strap portion. When zipped, this backpack is about the average size of any standard backpack. When unzipped, you gain about 2" more space for the entire pack. This would look a little too large if you are just going around the city with it or something but for a Bug Out Bag this feature is a huge plus. Extra storage just with one zip, sure I'll take that. I like the fact when the extra space is zipped up it is about the size of a standard backpack. The expandable feature is well worth it.Great pockets on the sides. If there is one thing I love, its extra storage areas for the little things like first aid kit, flashlight, Fire starters etc. The 4 side pockets and 2 back pockets make it extremely easy to have quick access to your smaller items. And the great thing about it is they are not free floating on the edge of the pack. These 6 outer pockets are part of the pack, fully partitioned. (This was the main reason I purchased it). There is also an inner pocket in the main part of the pack, as well as a water bladder reinforced opening separate from the zippered opening. The water bladder tube opening is top center, close to the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps are very comfortable. Chest strap for hiking is standard and yes it can be elevated or lowered like the higher price packs. The belt strap is probably unnecessary when using this as a standard size backpack but would be very useful when in the expanded size. There is no padding on the lower belt strap but at least its long enough to accommodate those of us with a beer belly.Overall very impressed. Very solid. I like the expandable feature more than I thought I would. The 6 outer pockets are fantastic and well made. Gotta give it 5 stars when there is not a stitch out of place.-Trav

Great Backpack For the Price Point
I have had a few of these over the last few years and just ordered another one. I will caveat my review with I bought this backpack as a backpack and not for any type of tactical component. I have never used the chest straps so I couldn't give any review on the quality of them. With that being said I have used the back pack in different environments and scenarios and overall for the price point this backpack is excellent. It lasted a good amount of time and I am only replacing my last one because I had a rather large spill on it (due to a fault of my own). The inside of lining does start to wear a bit quick, but the back pack is overall usable.I purchased this backpack due to the various compartments it offers. At this price point you cant find a good backpack with this amount of compartments, the amount of space inside the backpack, and the price. It is expandable which helps when putting more stuff in it and it can get rather large on the back. As one reviewer pointed out, it does sag and doesnt have support if you fill the top compartments. That personally doesnt bother me and as mentioned I dont use it as a tactical backpack so I cant comment on if that would be an issue or not.Overall for the price point, you cant beat it.

More room than I expected
I bought this backpack after a previous one was revealed to be much too small for what I needed. I wasn't too hopeful about this one, either, but thought I would take a chance on it.... It was exactly the perfect size! I even have some space to accommodate additional items. Very happy with this purchase.

Perfect for What I Needed...
I went on a quest. It was hard. Demanding. Costly. I looked high and low. I absolutely could NOT find a pack that fit what I wanted... until this one. Before it, I bought a half dozen other packs. I needed something that would hold all my work equipment and then some. I work Law Enforcement and I don't like the single strap patrol bags (the square ones) that you place across the seat. I needed something versatile that I could pick up and go with. So, I wanted a backpack. This bag has served me well so far. I basically turn it sideways and fling the strap over the headrest of the vehicle. I can then unzip the top which is now facing me and retrieve what I need. I can access the outer pouches and the topside pouches with ease and they store a ton of gear. The main pouch fits my XL clipboard, two boxes of energy drinks, three bottles of water, a can of Lysol, and more. The interior mesh pouch in the main pocket holds photo discs, evidence envelopes, and more. I use the outer front pouch to hold my electronics (a small body camera, cords for a camera, a cord for my phone, car chargers, and more). I then use the side small pouches to hold easily accessible medical stuff (like bandaids) and the other pouch batteries for my flashlights (it holds about 6 cases of double battery containers and a full 12 pack of CR123 batteries). There's also a second front pouch that holds a complete medical kit. It's amazing what fits in this thing and it holds together well. My biggest concern was the strain on the shoulder strap as I use the same one over and over to hold the entire pack on the seat. So far no issues. No fraying, no loose threads, nothing that shows of wear and tear. This pack is being used 4 times a week for at least 10 hours at a time. I'm so happy I found this thing!I'm about to buy a second one in black, transfer everything to it, and then use the green one for hiking. For less than $40 you absolutely can't go wrong with this thing.

One of the best backpacks I ever bought...this is my second one.
Simply put. One of the best backpacks I ever owned. This is my second one.Bought two of these bags for my nephews for Christmas two years ago. They are high school students and they lasted two years. That says plenty.I'd recommend this brand.By the way, I have a whole set of duffle bags from this brand. Couldn't be happier.
