I have to admit that I am frankly amazed at the number of favorable reviews for this stuff...Maybe the folks here have a whole different take on what pasta sauce should taste like. Or maybe they just use it mostly on pizza which it tasted a little better on the one time I tried it... But for making sauce, this stuff was a complete bomb with me. I've tasted a lot of different pasta seasoning mixes and never have I come across one like this in its aroma, or taste....It truly taste like something completely different than I am used too and its not at all a likable flavor to me...The culprit for the odd taste is easy to identify...The very first ingredient in this is a preservative called maltodextrin...The second being an unidentified "spices" and then garlic and a couple of others farther down on the list...And that is exactly what I feel I am tasting is this is the maltodextrin...And its not at all a favorable one...In addition to that, maltodextrin isn't exactly the safest thing you can consume in my opinion, and apparently that of many others. I had never seen a pasta spice mix with the first ingredient being a preservative, filler, before and I have never heard of maltodextrin either so I looked it up...The very first page displayed nothing but warnings and info that didn't exactly come off as an improvement on it...If this stuff tasted good I would take the info with the usual grain of salt since no preservative ever comes off with glowing terms these days..But this stuff really fell short of cutting it for sure. .I got all set to make my home made sauce with this and the flavor was so off it I ended up just throwing it out...It was that bad...Certainly not did it give the sauce a taste I had ever encountered before.. Add together with that the cost and this stuff was just a big fat zero with me...With all due respect to my fellow reviewers, I say avoid this stuff, at any cost...Not good...

I'm happy with this blend. Great flavor, it is a very find grind. I found it necessary to put in a shaker, the material clumps a little too much to sprinkle from a spoon.

We had family pizza night last evening. Each member made their own custom 9" pizza. This seasoning is the absolutely perfect to get rid of all those can tomato food storage items! We plan family pizza night weekly until our food storage gets to a manageable level. taste great...better then Pizza Hut, well above Domino's, blows Little Ceaser out of the water! far exceeds our expectations. Cost about $1 for a homemade pizza including ALL unlimited toppings. cheese, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, tomatoes, peppers, sausage, olives...etc etc etc...Just go for it! This is the best product I have ever purchased from Amazon!

This is very good Seasoning! I'm Italian and always Looking for good seasoning.Like Gramma used to do naturally.After she died and I moved away from my Mom and Dad( who can season in their sleep!!). I would taste my sauce and pizza and think .....Hmm sumtin missing.My Dad always says: you need to add fennal.my cousin's say it's the basil or the Tomatoes....and so on and so on.but with this it's just right.For me anyway.All I can say is you'll have to try it for yourself.

I am very happy with this seasoning. It makes the best pizza sauce with a can of tomato sauce and let it sit for 30 Min. Also when I open up a can of stewed tomato's and add the seasoning for the best pasta sauce. Over all you can't go wrong with this seasoning. I have tried other but was not as good for both the pasta and pizza sauce's. I will be getting more as I run low.

Very nice on pasta, flat breads and pizzas. You can also add it to homemade pasta sauce and marinara.

just the right combination of yum to mix with a marinara sauce for home made pizza's. very happy with the size and value. it smells A M A Z I N G and tastes like it smells.

OMG, this came the day I was making pasta, I mix some with butter and spread on French bread, so good, I was surprised just how good it was.
