These work fantastic and will save you money. The way this is constructed makes it very easy and simple to remove rat and reboot for the next. I have bought two bundles of these and taken out small mice to large Jurassic rats. I have take. Out at least 20 so far and reuse the traps every time unlike the traditional ones which can be messy and too close for comfort removal of dead rat: I had only one rat that got away stunned but is was not far away from the trap where I was able to capture him. Baiting is simple, usually I use peanut butter but the rats and mice in our area prefer meats, so chicken mixed with French bread seems to work every time.

Keeps the rodents out of my garden, VERY EASY to set up and clean. They have been outside for several months... no rust. I much prefer these over the wooden ones, and they have plenty of lethal force. They are plastic, so they wont last forever... but no issues yet.

They work fine and do catch rats and mice. Only problem is they rust easily. Would be nice if the part that holds the bait would be removable so it would be easier to fill.

I have a big problem with ground squirrels, and this does a great job. It also catches mice. I sent some to my daughter for her mouse problem, and she caught 5, and don't see any more.

Save your money, after two years of using these traps…95.4% failure to catch a rat…these are rat feeders NOT rat traps. 44 times these traps tripped…..38 no rats…1 killed….1 maimed that I had to do the final death blow to…not fun…

As disgusting as it is to see dead rats in a trap, it's a lot more quick acting than bait stations. I found that these traps are much less complicated (and therefore safer) to use than other traps I've seen of this type. Although they are a little smaller than other traps, I've been able to snag several very big rats because the bite is pretty powerful. For those brave at heart, you can release the dead rat into your trash. Easy to clean if you like. But I am so horrified about the rats that I use a shovel to scoop up the trap and the dead rat and pitch the whole thing. Not very economical for me, but that's my choice. The only down side for me is that the pressure required to set it is hard on my arthritic hands. But that's what makes it effective and I think someone with more youthful hands would have no trouble. It's surprising how effective such a simple device can be.

Hard to set sometimes and hard to trigger sometimes. Really inconsistent. Are great when they do work though. Stand up better to the outdoors than the old fashion wooden ones. But probably not worth the extra cost.

i bought the 6 pack in i 4 days caught 6 rats in the house - very fast humane kills on 4 either on head or neck - one caught just above the tail probably as it walked by the trap, i heard the trap snap and was able to kill quickly - the 6th was aweful it was snapped about the chest area and didnt find it for a day as it was able to crawl to its nest with the trap still on it, finally located its nest and killed it but it suffered a lot - traps are super easy to set and much safer than the old wooden ones, are easy to clean and very easy to bait - just be aware not every time will it be a quick humane kill

Watch your fingers, these have a powerful kill bar and the release mechanism seems very light. Removing the dead rodent is pretty straight forward - pull the catch bar back, and let them fall off into a garbage bag. Simple to bait as well. I would recommend buying them.

This trap is powerful enough to snap those rats immediately! I Setup 3 traps upon arrival and the traps were "Fuĺll" within 10mins past sundown.I am totally satisfied with this prod7uct

The traps pictured were gray with a different SKU # than the beige ones. I figured must be a newer, improved version. However I received the original traps which are available through Home Depot for 2/9.98, Canadian Tire 5.99 ea and TSC for 6.19 ea. These traps worked out to 8.33 per trap plus the additional tax. Really not Free Shipping!!
