Ear Syringe, 3 Ounce

Great syringe - I used it to irrigate my nose after an Upper Respiratory Infection. Worked Great. Well made. Easy to clean. Takes up very little room so is easy to store. And, it's not breakable!!! I would recommend this product and the Seller - quick shipment!!

Soft and plyable. Works the way it's supposed too.

Does it's job

I have been using similar ear syringe products for daily nasal irrigation for 35 years. I bought three of these ear syringes looking to re-supply my medicine cabinet with trustworthy gear.The Amazon page product image displayed on the box bottom right corner says "Made in USA". The product I received did not have "Made in USA" printed on the box and it has "China" molded into the bottom of the bulb and a product sticker from Apothecary Products placed on the bottom of the box that says ""Made in China".Since it said "China" I was concerned about the raw material it was fabricated out of; Any Lead? Any Cadmium? Any other junk?Other similar bulbs (that were made in the USA) I have purchased from Amazon were sealed in sterile packaging. Since this bulb was just inside a cardboard box it gave me another reason to be suspect.The material is not as pliable as other bulbs thus it is harder to squeeze to draw up or eject liquid. Typical molding processes yielding a less pliable end product material usually mean that there is more recycled material added into the casting. Again "recycled material" from China?!I'll use these bulbs for "dusting" lenses but even for that application they are deficient because the less pliable construction inhibits a burst of air stream when compressed. I definitely won't be putting these syringes in my nose or ear.

Not that good, just buy a normal syringe. There are better products than this out there that are easier to use.

The first time I ever used this, I was amazed at how much of the world I could suddenly hear -- clothes rustling, the wind blowing leaves on the street, and so on. I felt like I had superpowers. Indeed, I considered writing a short story about someone using a similar device and suddenly being able to hear people's thoughts.I've always preferred this type of device. It's obviously much safer and more appropriate than Q-Tips. Some people say it's less safe than the newer devices that produce a sideways, glancing stream. But those simply don't work for me, and this type of bulb does. Note that the size of the bulb is important; this three-ounce version is much, much better than the one-ounce version that you can sometimes buy at local drugstores. It gives you the opportunity to build up a pretty significant stream - enough to really clean what you're trying to clean.

I ordered 6 of these since the larger size is becoming very hard to find. Years ago, My Ears-Nose-Throat doctor instructed me on how to use this to do saline irrigation of nasal passages (in lieu of a nettie pot, etc). The syringe back then was make of thicker material -- this was as close to that as I was able to find. I'm very glad it's still available.

My husband has ear problems and his doctor recommends he clean his ears with one of these syringes occasionally. The one he'd used for many years cracked. I thought I could easily get another one at any local drug store, Wal-Mart or Kmart, but NO ONE carried them. All I could find were tiny syringes designed for a baby's ear. I was very happy to find this on Amazon. It is exactly the same as the "old one" and works great.
