Lightweight Identity Crisis.
Watchable, if not a tad pedestrian, French movie inspiring The Tourist remake, also a lightweight. There are one, or two, quite interesting set pieces within the movie, towards the beginning, fairly reminiscent of Hitchcock, but alas not quite. The movie trundles along at a fairly leisurely pace and is somewhat predictable, in that, you will, no doubt, know how this ends from the very beginning as it couldn't be more obvious.Impossible to go into the plot here as it would give the game away. You might also spot a number of continuity 'errors', one being the newspaper on the train. All in all a slow and ponderous storyline with a few vaguely exciting moments and, for me at least, refreshingly, not American.

Great story and refreshingly different.Much better than the American rewrite.Need to watch it more than once to really understand the direction its taking.Pity train travel isn't really like that.

any film with Sophie Marceau in I love to see
I have been putting off buying this film for two years now, I seen the trailer on you tube when I was looking for films with Sophie Marceau in it and this Anthony Zimmer came up.All I can say is for a French film is as good as it gets.

I was under the impression that this was in English/ not sub titles on and off/
When I bought this DVD it was advertised as in English?

Great movie. Stay in for this one.
A favourite of our movie-going club, the original Anthony Zimmer is well paced, excellently cast and plotted. Sophie and Yves do credit to the script and there are enough twists and turns to keep the audience engaged. One to watch again and again.

It's okay
I bought this DVD as part of my college essay on the tourist it's American remake from amazon but I never recieved the DVD from them this meant that I had to rebuy it from another amazon user and it meant that my essay was late I told amazon about this but never recieved any news of where my DVD was and I was never offered a refund !!!!! Not happy at all. The film itself Is good if u don't mind reading subtitles along with a foreign film

Original French drama
Not the best film I've ever seen but compared to the mess the US made of the remake (The Tourist), it's a diamond.

Good Romantic Thriller
Anthony Zimmer kept me on the edge of my seat and I adored Yvan Attal as such a subtle antihero juxtaposed against Sophie Marceau's sophisticated professional. A bit pedestrian? Perhaps to those more jaded than I but the chemistry between Attal and Marceau was undeniable. Attal played his part so well I withheld my opinion on who he was for most of the movie. I love this movie. The American remake was a dud.
