Tilandsia projects were always a favorite of makers taking the workshop. We wanted to allow everyone to experience raising their very own air plant terrarium.What makes your product special?We make sure that your air plant is not sitting around in a warehouse without any care. We tend to our air plants everyday in our MakersKIt Garden. Meaning when it is time to be sent to its new home. You will be receiving a fresh and happy plant.What has been the best part of your startup experience?The best part of being a start-up is the interactions we have with makers during live DIY Workshops. I love it!
My kit arrived complete with a voucher to order 2 Guatemalan air plants free of charge. Set up both globes in seconds - air plants arrived about 1 week later. The plants are the perfect addition to my urban studio and make great companions for my bonsai tree!To care for them, you just spray them with water once a week (mini spray bottle is included), and you also spray them with air plant food once a month (you can also purchase the air plant food from Makerskit here which comes with 1 full mini spray bottle and a huge bottle of refill food).

Confusing plant redemption process
As several reviewers mentioned, my kit didn't have a redemption coupon in it when it arrived. I immediately went back to the reviews here and saw that some reviewers stated that their plants had shipped automatically after the order was placed. The kit also arrived with a broken hanger on one of the glass globes, even though it was very well packaged to avoid breakage, so I returned it for a replacement kit.I still hadn't received any plants before the replacement kit arrived, and the replacement kit didn't have a coupon either. At that point I contacted MakersKit. They explained that originally plants were shipped automatically, but they recently changed to a coupon redemption program (as stated in the listing). This way, if the kit was intended as a gift, the recipient could redeem the coupon when they were ready to start putting together their mini terrariums. They also said that my kit must have been an older pre-coupon kit. They did ship my plants immediately via priority mail and I received them a couple days later.There is more than enough material for the two small globes and it's a really quick, fun, and easy project. The kit makes a really cute hanging terrarium, but if I were to order it again, I'd order the larger kit with a single 4" globe. I subtracted a star from my review because of the frustration and confusion that I and several other purchasers experienced over the plant redemption process.

i was disappointed with this order
i was disappointed with this order, arrived puntually, but without the plants, I read instructions, to get the plants, sadly I found that I had to purchase these items extra $7.99 on top of the original order, this I did immediately, however it has been more than a week now , and I still have not received my plants. When ordering from Amazon, I did not see anyinfo telling me that this item is only partially enclosed, and that I would have to pay extra to complete my order. Regards to the product, I can only give a review, after the completion of my order, so far the product looks very nice and I am looking fwd to making this unique itemRegards

I loved the kit
I loved the kit, my glass ball ended up breaking sadly and the water bottle is perfect for keeping them alive. This is the only air plant that has survived and I purchased a 5 back from another place. I watered all of them at the same time and tried to position the dying plants in different amounts of sunlight. I'm excited that the plant from MakersKit survived is producing pups!

Read This Before You Buy
It's ok, the plants are dieing no matter how I water them. I consider myself a plant expert and these plants just keep on dieing. They have adequate sunlight and water.Also keep in mind this Plant kit doesn't come with the plant. They send you a free voucher which you use on their website to get the plants.

Bought this as a gift for a friend for christmas, it was missing the voucher to receive plants and the loop that connects to the string was broken. I contacted customer service and they were very nice about it and shipped us the plants and replacement bulb

Didn't realize size
Not a bad decorative item but would be much better if these were larger. Barely have enough room to customize with even just half of the included material and still fit the plant.
