Not 100% Pure Gum Spirits
While it is not bad, it isn't 100% Pure Gum Spirits of Turpentine. I purchased this brand and the Diamond G brand, and there is a big difference between both versions. This one did not give me the same results as the latter mentioned, and because of that, I can only give it three stars. If you are seeking Turpentine for "medicinal" purposes, I don't think that this will be what you are looking for; do your research on and offline.

Thanks for real terpentine
I really like this product. Can someone change the cap on these cans. They might could be more difficult to open and pour, but it would take some doing. I asked the paint store manager to please open my last can. He couldn’t’t. Also, you can’t get a grip because of the rim. Pliers are futal. When you do finally get it open, it won’t do a clean pour. Splashes all over. These cans need to be redesigned out of the dark ages. Thanks for the real terpentine. I can’t tolerate the fake “ odorless”. Stinky stuff artists have been brainwashed to use.

100% pure turpentine getting hard to acquire
Thank you Sunnyside for producing this product. Some companies produce "Turpentine" which has only 30% turpentine in order to meet increasing states' governments confiscatory regulations. Such products are useless for my artistic purposes and I need a company like Sunnyside to continue to produce 100% turpentine even though it cannot be distributed to all 50 U.S. states. This could not be delivered to my Maryland address.

Very satisfied.
The real deal must read "pure gum spirits of turpentine", not "pure turpentine" or "gum spirits turpentine" or any of the other manifestations found in hardware store paint departments. This is the real thing. Very satisfied.

Perfect for DIY artist's oil paints
We use this for making professional grade artist's oil paints. Mixing dry powdered pigments with nothing but this oil. Great quality oil, has no nasty smells or dryers like your off the shelf boiled linseed oil. If you want to DIY some oil paint this is the stuff! Go to Kramer pigments for the powders. Best prices anywhere and the highest quality pigments around.

Pure Gum Turpentine
I'm very pleased with this turpentine. It has the pleasant aroma of pure gum turp from 30 years ago. I'm starting to use it instead of naptha to thin tung oil . It doesn't evaporate as fast and allows more time for the wood to absorb the mixture. It seems a slight bit more viscous than naptha so use 60/40 instead of 50/50.I use a respirator mask when oiling but once wiped down the residual scent which lasts a few days is not overwhelming and actually quite pleasant. I definitely prefer it over the citrus stuff, as far as the residual odor.

Pure awesomeness. As an artist and herbalist having access to this is really great. Gives a nice smell to my studio while painting and I take it internally in small amounts at times.
