Guitar not the same as pictured
We ordered the "First Act Adam Levine Acoustic Guitar with Strap AL363" for our 10 year old to begin lessons with. The outer box that arrived said it was model #AL363 (Adam Levine), the inner box had Adam's picture on the front but the guitar inside is model #MG311. It doesn't look like the one pictured on Amazon, doesn't have Adam Levine's signature or name anywhere on or inside the guitar and didn't come with a strap. I called Amazon and told them the guitar sent was Model #MG311 and not #AL363 as ordered and they said that they would send the correct guitar out right away. We received the second guitar today and now we have TWO of the wrong model guitar. The guitar(s) have a manufacture date inside of 2011, possibly pre-Adam Levine endorsement? The thing is, I don't even know or care who Adam Levine is, I just want what I paid $79.99 for. For the life of me I can't find a new First Act #MG311 anywhere on the internet to compare price and see if perhaps Amazon could just refund us the difference (if there is one) but to no avail. All that said, the MG311 seems like an adequate first guitar...if that's what they decide to send you when you order the AL363...Sigh.

Can't Tune It
I bought this to keep by my chair in the living room to play rather than keep one of my other acoustic guitars because it is a parlor size guitar. I took it out of the box and it appeared to be a decent little guitar but then looks can be deceiving. After trying to tune it for 30 minutes I gave up. I have a digital tuner and all six strings were perfectly in tune however the intonation is horrible and playing any chord results in an out of tune sound. If you are considering this as an alternative to a more expensive guitar pass this one buy and look at parlor guitars in a higher price range. It's true what they say, you get what you pay for.

It is beautiful! This is not a toy guitar
This was a gift for a young friend. But my husband is a musician and we did open it, tune it before wraping it. It is beautiful! This is not a toy guitar. We can only hope our gift is well loved and learned on for the next few years!

Not too bad.
Product was in good condition. It had a scratch on it and smelled of cigarette smoke. We are non smokers in out home and we found that even after 2 weeks in the garage it still smelled. After some tuning and my child is in lessons and doing wonderful. A good beginner guitar. I just wish there were more details listed from the seller.

Cheaply made ... big disappointment.
Very cheaply made. The strings are held on by cheap plastic that breaks when you try to tune it. VERY disappointed. Would not recommend.

Not Good
This is an awful excuse for a guitar. It is very cheaply made and is more of a toy than a musical instrument. The one I received had many string buzzes at the frets (not good). It felt like it would fall apart in my hands. I bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter to learn on but sent it back because it was so bad. I ended up buying her a 1/2 size Yamaha classical guitar which was twice the price but is a finely crafted instrument for a beginner. You get what you pay for.
