As a 37 year old guy, I'm possibly not the typical target for this piece of kit, but in these times where everyone has to stay inside, I thought I'd shell out a bit of cash so that I had a good way to get in touch with friends and loved ones, and have them be able to see me clearly and with a decent camera stability.The number of times I've been chatting to older loved ones and it's like chatting to someone who's doing a Zumba class in an earthquake, at night. The screen moves around so much and, even when it is steady, I can't make out anyone's features as they're so poorly lit. It's headache-inducing. This stand is the answer to all those issues.I've already conducted numerous conversations on WhatsApp and Skype with friends and family members, both in this country and abroad, and done a few work-focused meetings on Google Meet. This stand has worked like a charm. I've been clearly lit, without feeling like I was being interrogated, and the phone has been held steady as a rock throughout.If I was to make a minor criticism, the armature that holds the phone could be a shade longer, but only by maybe a few inches, to give a little extra height to the filming angle. But that would be nit-picking.It works beautifully either powered by a laptop or via a USB plug, has 3 light settings, which are individually adjustable from dim through to bright, and folds down so that it easily fits in a drawer or a laptop bag. The clip on base is strong enough that it would be adjustable to many surfaces, so I imagine it'd also be great for filming video blogs or online tutorials too.Great product. I'd certainly recommend it.

Really nice product. I needed better lighting for conference calls for work (zoom/skype/MSTeams etc.) My room walls are darkish blue, so absorbs a lot of the light from room lighting and natural light from the window, so needed more focussed light on me. This is perfect. Ordered the 6" ring which comes with the clasp not the tripod. It feels very robust. I'd say the clasp can cope with a desk top thickness of up to 2", could maybe do a bit more but it woukd be stretching the jaws, they are a firm grip though. The wire stands also feel robust but still easily moveable. When clamped to my desk behind my monitor it is just tall enough for the light ring to appear above my monitor so a really good height. The brightness is great for what i needed it for, and would recommend it.

I bought this set to help to create online lectures and so far it's working nearly perfectly!Pros:Very bright LED light - much better than my previous desk lamp, so it is now used as one. The light can be dimmed gradually, which is a great option, and three different colours are nice to have as well. In its maximum intensity it is really bright! The flexible arms are quite long. My item is attached to a shelf with a clip - which is big and powerful. I have a very thick shelf and I was concerned that it might be too thick - it isn't, and there is much margin left. The other arm holds my web cam giving me a lot of freedom - sometimes I need to point the camera right downwards to record handwriting - no problem now, works like magic!Cons:There are two little complaints, I think well overbalanced by advantages:1. When connected to a conventional USB via a small hub, the light was slightly flickering. The problem was solved by connecting the lamp to a sturdier USB port - so just be careful how you connect this thing and it will be ok.2. In some positions the flexible arm bends under the weight of the lamp. It happened mostly when I installed the rig on an overhead shelf, with the arms hanging down below - in this position it required a bit of attention to find a stable position. This is a more serious issue, but I noticed that the situation improves when the device is installed upright.

I absolutely love this ring light, for my job as a body shop consultant it is so handy having the ring light to both give me natural bright lighting whenever I need, and also a place to hold my phone when taking demo videos, photos or lives!We recently had an electrical fault and needed to use our torches in order to light up our room at night. However, we used this (as a temporary measure) clipped onto the door and honestly the light we got from it was incredible!3 modes, for cool, warm and natural light, my favourite it natural but I do sometimes use the others when taking photos.Super easy to put together and my first one has lasted nearly a year now and it still perfect. This is my second one as I use it for my body shop and my boyfriend wanted one for when he streams his games so he is well lit. 5 stars!

This is sturdy and robust - the clip for attaching to the table is strong and the phone holder would fit a variety of widths of phone and hold them securely.I mainly bought this for the light rather than the phone as I am a face painter and sometimes I need a little extra light. I wish I had realised I need a separate power bank to power the device when out and about but that's my fault for not reading the description properly I expect and easily resolved (I thought it was rechargeable).The light is really bright and I may use the phone holder to make some tutorials so I'm going to explore this.Really pleased with this product for the price. It's very robust and seems like its really good quality.

Provides good light with good range of lighting options, but construction is flimsy - in most positions, the light and phone holder struggles to hold its own weight (so will 'sag'), and after only a few weeks the wires are starting to come away from the light unit
