500 miles in 3 years
I bought a pair in 2019 and am now ordering a second pair. I’ve hiked about 500 miles (and walked even more) in these replacing the insoles 3 times. I do prefer a better insole than what comes with the shoe. I’ve done a 17 mile hike (in one day), climbed mountains, and have done lots of rainy weather hikes. These shoes are just now getting slippery due to tread wearing down. The stitching has held up beautifully and while not waterproof if I fully submerge my foot, I’ve done enough sloshing through wet areas to know that my feet will stay dry as long as I don’t get the tongue area soaked. Here’s hoping the manufacturer has keep the same standards these last few years. I used to be a total Keens fan, but once I noticed that the shoes were wearing out a lot quicker, made the switch. Very glad I did.

Best of the best! GOAT!!
I love these boots SO much, I convinced 2 friends to grab a pair also.I’ve hiked parts of the AT and have tried many hiking boots, never found a pair that fit and compliment me as much as these. I wear them almost everyday for my dog walks.WATERPROOF IN POURING RAIN & WALKS ACROSS THE CREEK.My best friend and I both have a Lab puppy and we have tested our new boots in every situation, they did outstanding. I will buy these boots over and over and over. I’ll probably never go back to Merrell after these. Get them! They even look great with low it socks 🥾

AWESOME SHOES!!!
I bought these shoes for my paramedic job. I also purchased a different pair of similar shoes that cost 4 times more. I can honestly say, forget wasting your money on overpriced stuff. Order these shoes immediately. They are very well priced (I don't want to say cheap, because only the price is cheap - the quality is amazing). They are comfy. They fit perfectly. The clean easily. They take about 2 seconds to break them in, no uncomfortable period of breaking them in. I am so glad I found these. The super expensive pair of shoes are already on their way back to that seller. You will really like these shoes, especially if you're on your feet a lot for work. It's a light work boot that you'll really enjoy putting on for those long shifts.

Comfortable, Durable and Waterproof
Bought these because my Bear Paw hiking boots were not doing the trick. I love these boots. I wore them in Iceland, doing plenty of difficult hikes and very wet hikes. I walked through a river of water and my feet didn't get wet, until the water went over my ankles. I'd say that's waterproof alright. I will reccomend these to anyone and will be wearing them for all my hikes.

Very Pleased With Boots
I am really glad you have that category of added 'Wide' choice for individuals like me who have huge gaps in between our toes. We need that extra space 'Wide' gap that helps us fit. Thank you very much and will always support your boots as this is my second pair of boots from you. My daughter has one pair too.

Nice but not quite right
These boots seem well made and I love how they look! They just didn’t fit right for me. They were a bit too narrow- my toes felt squished even going up half size from my usual shoe size. There is also no arch support. I like the look of these so much I was tempted to keep them but ultimately returned them bc I need a better fitting boot

Well made boot.
These Columbia Newton Ridge boots were purchased for my daughterBoots are well made, have decent traction qualities, and are durable. My wife has had these same boots for several years and although she wears them mainly during the winter, her boots still look like new, practically no wear at all.

Seem sturdy
I've had these boots for 3 years and so far they are the only boots I've ever hiked in. I do plan to upgrade to other boots soon but these are great entry level boots. They are water resistant in my experience, not waterproof. Stepping in one big puddle of water will be fine. Slogging through several puddles will eventually cause your socks to get damp.I think the grip or traction is ok for dry weather. Wet rocks and vertical scrambles on wet rocks is fine. However tree roots or slick logs - traction is poor for me. Icy trails will win against the boots. I fell down several times trying to walk on ice in these. Not the boots fault, I wasn't wearing ice spikes. Just don't wear them in winter weather. There are no signs of the boot peeling open or falling apart which is great. One negative is that the upper tongue portion becomes floppy and loose during hiking. Lacing up the boots tighter doesn't help because the tie sort of slides down under the label leaving an inch or so closest to your ankle free to move and loosen, causing the boot to not feel secure on the foot.

I literally set these boots on fire
I broke these boots in a few days before embarking in a multi-day treck through the highland backpacking trail. First off, they're very comfy. Second, they're not water proof. Which leads us to the next part of the story: I set these boots on fire when I placed them a little too close to the fire trying to dry them out after a long day of hiking through the rain. Didn't notice at first, but now the entire top of my boot is melted. Honestly wasn't sure if I'd be able to use them after that, but I had no choice but to try, as I was already a day into the hike with no backup shoes. I pried up the laces and gave em a go. Turns out, melting the plastic made them waterproof. They're ugly as all hell now, but they're more functional than ever. 10/10 would buy and melt again.

Average
Fit is as expected. Not overly comfortable and definitely NOT waterproof (see my wet socks after a walk in the wet grass - not even in the rain). They are ok for this time of year but would be no good in the winter. I would descibe them as entry level walking boots

Great for wide feet and very comfortable for hikes!
I was researching for a wide foot boot and came across this boot. Wide feet shoes are difficult to find for women so the products out there are few and expensive! These boots were a really fair price for the quality, arrived quickly and feel absolutely amazing! I ordered a size up to allow room for expansion and I am glad I did this. Highly recommend these for avid wide feet hikers!

Not waterproof
Bought the ear for my wife to walk the dog. They’re are comfortable straight out the box but a big minus which defeats the purpose of having these kind of boots is that they’re not waterproof, even just walking in wet grass.

The most amazing boots ever!
These boots are incredible, very comfortable and fully waterproof. They felt sturdy and have good grip. I wear them every day on the farm and would 100% purchase again. I have recommended them to my friends.
