Kicker KX-Series 2400 Watt Class-D Monoblock Amplifier 40KX24001

I got two 15" dvc 2 ohm solo baric kickers and all I can say is I got that slap in tha trunk now!!

pros, very powerfull pushed more then enough power. I blew many speakers from the power of this amp. make sure u have the power down of the correct subs for this amp.cons, overheats after 40 minutes of high intense bass usage.if I were do this again honestly id go cheaper and simpler.

First of all, Im a" Rockford Fosgate" audio guy. Currently running RF 2500 BDCP & 1500BDCP in my vehicles for the past couple years. Then I saw this amp.I was kinda skeptical after reading several horror story reviews. Just make sure before dropping the cash to pay for ANY type of car audio equiptment online that its from a REPUTABLE seller! My item was listed as BRAND NEW for some reason i was unable to cancel transaction because it was supposedly shipped the very second I hit Pay.(NOT!!!!!) So I receive the amp a week later and it arrives Beautifully packaged but notice that although the amp appeared to be brand new the box it came in was not sealed (RED FLAG #1).Upon opening the? NEW amp box, there was a burnt electrical odor,kinda like the smell a cordless drill gives off when it gets hot.(RED FLAG#2). Everything looked NEW,but that smell was bugging the crap out of me. Keep in mind this is my first kicker amp and I bought it from AMAZON, not the other guys that sound like eday. Long story short. This transaction SUCKED _ _ _!!!! But the amp is impressive. I doubt the credibility of the Birthsheet It came with. IMHO it looked like a scanned and Xerox copy of something you can get offline. Seriously! Anyone can stamp a bunch of numbers on a piece of paper claiming high output but wheres the test specs to back it up? Its working fine now, but bought the insurance just in case. I doubt ill ever buy kicker again! Sorry, but when Im dropping close to a grand on an item, I want It sealed and finger printless like it came straight from the factory not someones Demo room! Especially when its listed as BRAND NEW!!!

man this amp is a monster, it's the best of both worlds, class d amplifier but with an ab sound. This amp will shake the crap out of your vehicle, I have the amp tuned down to a little less than half way with 15" kicker compr subs in a 2 ohm load and I've never been more satisfied with the extremely deep bass and lows out of this world. Until I came across Kicker amps the only amps I knew of that had this clean sound was the JBL GTO1400.1 which you can't even buy in this country anymore. It's definitely worth the money for those looking for that monster sound in a small package!

Not a review, just for information purposes. THE GAIN CONTROL KNOB IS NOT TO CONTROL THE VOLUME OF YOUR SYSTEM. ITS USED TO MATCH THE OUTPUT SIGNAL OF YOUR HEAD UNIT! When properly matched you shouldn't even have to touch it unless your head unit is crap. If that's the case you need another head unit. No wonder people are frying amps and blowing subs!

Havent tried out the amp as yet, but it seems legit! Very compact and heavy..
