Thank you!
I just want to thank the author for writing this book. My daughter had open heart surgery in March of this year. This book has been very helpful. If helped her before the surgery with knowing what to expect and after the surgery coping with having a line scar. For her kindergarten book parade she chose this book and i am so happy that she is embracing her scar. I highly recommend this book for children who will or have had open hear surgery.

awesome Book
I bought this book for my Daughter's kindergarten teacher to read to the class! it is a well written book, easy for other kids to understand. My daughter has had 2 open heart surgeries and this book makes it easy for other kids to know that even though she has a scar, she is no different from them. It also helps open the door for the kids to ask her questions. I highly recommend this book for all heart warriors!

For children having Open Heart Surgery
My granddaughter had open heart ❤ surgery and naturally, they had to crack open her ribs to work on her heart. It left a very long stared scar, or "Zip-Line. This book helped her (she's 4 yrs. old) to understand the process. She proudly displays her Zip-Line, she owns it.

Wonderful way to help little ones understand their scars
My daughter is only fifteen months old but she is already noticing that she is different--she keeps trying to find her scars on other people. She got Zipline for Christmas and it is a lovely little book that will help her understand on her level. She doesn't quite get it yet but I am hoping regular readings of this little gem will make her story "normal" to her as she grows. It's one thing to have your parents tell you but seeing it in a book takes it to a new level ;) this book is helping my older boys as well.

This book was a great way to explain her scar/surgery without scaring her
My daughter had open heart surgery when she was a baby and now, at age 4, she's beginning to notice that she has a scar while most people don't. This book was a great way to explain her scar/surgery without scaring her. She's taken it to school to read it to her class so that they understand as well.

Great confidence tool for heart kiddos
I had been searching for a heart book for my daughter who had open heart surgery as a baby. This book does a fantastic job at explaining what makes her different, what open heart surgery is, and the main focus is how she's really no different from the other kids. Great book that we will continue to use as a tool to help build her confidence through the challenges that being a heart kiddo can bring. So happy I stumbled across this, highly recommend for other heart kiddos or other kids who know heart kiddos and have questions.

Disappointed
I can’t say I’m too enthusiastic about this book, neither is my child. As a parent of a child with a CHD I thought this might be a good introduction to his scar and try to help explain open heart surgery but it’s a very bland book and doesn’t hold children’s attention well. Both of my children have a love for books but unfortunately not this one.

Ideal for any open heart surgery patient.
Great book in helping Heart kids understand their scar and not to be embarrassed by it. The hospital didn't give us anything in a kid friendly format to help explain to my daughter, so I bought this book which I think is great for kids up to about age 6-7.Price was reasonable and isn't graphic in any way. Illustrations are very discreet.

A great book
As a mum to Ella (3) who has her own zip line I thought this book was brilliant. It not only helps her to understand that she is special and to be proud of her line but is great to help other kids understand.I had a tear in my eye reading this for the first time as most mums will, but the book is so positive you can't help but smile. Recommended to anyone who's been through something similar and great for friends and family too.

A lovely book
A lovely, well written book which will help my little boy understand what he has been through as a baby. Language is simple and illustrations are subtle. I have to admit to having a lump in my throat the first time I read it. We have also bought some to donate to our children's heart unit to help other children to understand

Love it.
My little boy has a zip-line as he now likes to call it. He recently started school and his teacher read it to the whole class, I was so proud. He doesn't have to face any questions now. Love it.
