HGLTECH Flipsky VX2 Remote Controller Pro 2.4G Wireless Colorful Screen for DIY Electric Skateboard Longboard EBlike (for V4)

A nice upgrade over the vx1. Same reliable connection that has given me 0 dropouts or lost connections.The screen is nice, though useless for actual use. If you managed to crash hard enough to crack the screen, all functions are a button click away and are easily memorized.Case is plastic with a soft touch finish. Feels alright and pretty thick.On one model I've had the ribbon connector to the screen interfere with the wheel, easily fixed inside. The second model was fine. But why would I need 2 models? Well flipsky does not offer replacement receivers, so when mine got wet I couldn't just buy a new receiver, I had to buy a whole new remote just for the receiver. Old one paired up so I didn't have to transfer my settings.So -1 star for not selling receivers separately. In the DIY esk8 world the most common mistake is not being good enough at waterproofing. And sadly this unit doesn't seem to have great conformal coating or replacement receivers.

I give the remote a five star review if it works. i purchased two of them and one did not work out of the box the other did work out of the box & still works and works great!the one that did not work was replaced very quickly and I then had another small issue with that remote that I had to deal directly with Flipsky and they could not have been more helpful and more attentive as a company providing spectacular customer service so I know that flip sky has a reputation of if you want something from them be prepared to have to return the item at least once I have found that only to be true about 30% of the time with their products but their customer service is so outstanding and they are a company helping to push electric skateboarding forward so for the value I think it's worth a little extra hassle here and there and I just get a kick out of it when an electric skateboard company that sells DIY parts in China really does care about the quality of their products and really does care about their customers and really is innovating in the sport I'm loyal to them because of their great customer service and how well their products work when they work.never had a problem with any of their motors and I actually just got a vx3 remote then I'm about to try out on my lacroix lone Star.so far it's been easy to install and the build quality is pretty spectacular.but if you get a vx2 that works it works really great and if it doesn't work you know you will have a good experience with their customer service.

Good remote. One ting to note is make sure you read the instructions, it is settings are not as intuitive as I would like. The fit and finish is perfectly usable bit not polished. Screen is good in the shade but in sunlight is not visible. Overall its a good remote if you are not on a budget. But for the price I feel like the quality should be better. I did have to contact flipsky and they were responsive and got me help ( user error on my part).

The remote is poorly made, the case has uneven ugly seams, the screen is crooked, and the wheel squeaks whenever I use it. For the price I expected something much better. This feels like it should've cost ~$40, not ~$90

Controller works fine and has a nice color readout with useful info. The soft rubber coating on the outside began to come off after I had left it charging next to a window in full sun.

Awesome remote. Give all of the pertinent information on display.
