Assurant 5-Year Appliance Protection Plan ($300-$349.99)

I am so pleased with this company! They were able to process the claim quick and easily! I am sooooo grateful that I made sure to have their insurance. I almost didn’t buy it. If you’re buying any kind of appliance or larger item make sure you absolutely purchase this insurance! They were quick and easy and they processed the slain so easily! Absolutely amazing! I can’t say I am more grateful for this purchase. I’m sad that my appliances stopped working but each application lasted me more than 2years. My counter top dishwasher started leaking and just continued to push water out of the inlet inside, it’s 3 years old. My clothes washer isn’t washing at full capacity anymore and that one is 4 years old. They are great appliances! But make sure you get this insurance plan!

I bought a countertop ice maker in April 2023 plus a 5-year warranty from Assurant. In late April of 2024, the ice maker stopped making ice. After contacting the company, I received a quick response (within 48 hours). I am more than pleased with the service (all handled quickly through email). This protection plan definitely exceeded my expectations!

This seemed like a good deal, because it was so cheap, but it's not worth even the $12 it cost. First of all, it doesn't cover anything during the first year of the manufacturer's warranty, which isn't made clear in the description. So when the item I ordered failed within 3 months, and the manufacturer didn't want to replace it unless I shipped this bulky item back to their factory at my expense (at least half the cost of the item itself), Assurant was no help at all. I called Amazon, who told me that Assurant had promised to refund the cost of the product, and Amazon even sent me an email to that effect. But Assurant didn't. Instead, they ordered a repairman to come to my house--but they told him the wrong product, which I promptly notified them about. They didn't bother to correct it, so after I waited three weeks for the repair, the technician gets to my house and says he can't fix it. Their customer service is horrible--impossible to to get through on the phone. Fortunately Amazon came through and agreed to let me return the product to them and refund my money. I'd give them no stars if I could and I'll never buy their warranty again.

They couldn't fix my ice maker, so they refunded the entire amount of money. You can't beat that service!

I purchased an ice maker and also the extended warranty. Ice maker broke and that model was not available. FULL REFUND! Got my Amazon credit that day. Easy and hassle free.

I gave four stars because it took some effort to finally reach a person. Once I finally made contact, their representative was able to help me quickly and satisfactorily. I was happy with the resolution.
