I got this Geisha Doll to add to my Oriental-themed decorum in my spare room. I don't know anything about Geishas, but the dress and accoutrements seem to be authentic. I also wanted something affordable but would be a good representation of the culture (I think the two cranes on the Kimono represent fidelity). The doll had pretty impressive detail. As you may be able to see in the photos, even the fine hair on the back of her neck has been replicated (albeit, just painted on) and there is ample texture on the fabric used throughout the Kimono and accessories. Although the doll is somewhat fragile, it was very well packed for shipping and didn't seem likely that any damage would have occurred to her with even moderate mishandling. There was absolutely no damage to her. This is the second Geisha Doll that I purchased - The first one came with an umbrella that actually unfolded. For the price, I think it was very good value.

This beautiful little doll was boxed with obvious care, laying in a bed of soft fluff. The workmanship and attention to detail on the doll itself shows a high level of pride missing in so many products today. I’ll definitely buy from this seller again.
