Great product
I have been using this product for years with my dog. It keeps her healthy and active. She must like the taste because she gobbles it up every day.

Nearly instantaneous results!
Our recent rescue dog Keba was having a difficult time adjusting to its new home and new food. Stools were soft serve and she had to go often and came with little warning and we've had lots of accidents. We saw significant improvement the next day after this product was administered, also mood and energy seems good. Our dog food supposedly contains probiotics but it does not contain E. faecium and I'm not a vet. but I think that is key. The reason I chose this over fortiflora is because it contains 60 doses (fortifilora has 30) and each dose contains three times as much E. faecium as fortiflora for about the same price. Only complaint is keba will take it but after chewing she will try to spit most of it out. I break it into pieces which is easy to do and give it with dog food (fortiflora has to be given with dog food) and that works fine.

Fantastic Probiotic!
In September 2015, my dog, Sherlock Holmes, was diagnosed with lymphoma and is now in his second cycle of chemotherapy. He was having horrible problems with diarrhea from the chemo and his oncologist recommended a probiotic by Purina. I gave it to him twice and he threw up. I read the ingredients and found the first ingredient is basically animal bi-products. I explained to Sherlock's oncologist that I would not give my dog a product containing animal bi-products, and that I found a healthier, human grade probiotic on Amazon - Probiotics For Dogs by Ample Nutrition. I have been giving Sherlock one tablet a day for the last two months. I crush the tablet and mix it with his homemade meals, and he eats it right up. He has not thrown up; his horrible, foul gas has stopped; and his diarrhea has improved tremendously! In fact, he now only has diarrhea after his chemo treatment. After my first month of giving Sherlock Probiotics For Dogs, a representative from Ample Nutrition contacted me to see how my dog was doing with the product. I was surprised by the attention, and pleased that they cared enough to see how my dog was doing on their product. Ample Nutrition is a great company, and Probiotics For Dogs is a fantastic product. If you are concerned with what your dog ingests, you will be pleased with this probiotic

Ok for a probiotic, they do work after a week or so but they are large and difficult to break apart as they don't have any scoring on them. My dogs wouldn't eat them as they are, I had to crush and mix with wet food which is why I only gave three stars. The price is decent and they do what they are supposed to but are just too much of a hassle.

She doesn't quite like the taste
My K-9 is a working dog. She has been diagnosed with EPI. I was at my wits end and she had dropped weight drastically, was very malnutritioned and was not absorbing any nutrients. After her blood work came back, I was afraid I was going to lose her. She had been on fortiflora but this was not helping at all. So I did a little research and found this product. Research indicated that she needed prebiotic, as well as probiotic. I started her on this product, as well as the digestive enzymes I found through some research, as well (not on Amazon). This product, along with the enzymes and some herbal supplements, has improved her immensely. She doesn't quite like the taste, but she will eat them. I believe in this product very much and am very pleased with it. My vet also approves of this product, as well. My K-9 has gained weight back and her stools are perfect. She is absorbing her nutrients again, and can not work again. Before, I couldn't allow her to work (search and rescue) because I was afraid she would get sicker. Kudos to you for this product. It's a keeper!!

Would buy again, wide variety of bacteria, and hight count.
I bought these for an eight month old pup who came from a questionable background. She had Giardia previously, and also was itching too often. I wanted to help build up her immune system so she could fight this stuff naturally. I do believe this product worked, as her itching improved. However, I was also giving a high quality natural yogurt loaded with many varieties of good bacteria. Now suppose she was allergic or sensitive to dairy products, and the yogurt made her itch? LOL. I can't win for losing. I cannot say which helped or harmed because I did not approach the problem scientifically, I used no 'control'. At one point, both my dogs got diarrhea, from bad food, I think, and I gave them a double dose of these probiotic tablets, and no yogurt. I also gave them some Kaolin & Pectin. Once again, I cannot tell you which product was most beneficial, but the dogs both got better, All in all, I would buy this again. And I chose this brand because it seemed to have the widest variety of types of bacteria and a very high count.

based on product comparison and the number of good reviews it received
I recently decided to purchase Ample Nutrition's Probiotics for Dogs+ Prebiotics, as well as Ample Nutrition's Digestive Enzymes for Dogs and Cats, based on product comparison and the number of good reviews it received. I had hoped these products would resolve an issue with soft stool that my Shih Tzu-Yorkie mix has been having. Regrettably, I did not have the success that others had. My dog did not like the smell of it and simply would not eat it. I tried crushing a half of one up and adding it to her food, but she wouldn't eat her food once it was there. I have not given it to her since and will continue my search for another probiotic/prebiotic for my dog. Needless to say, I am disappointed and upset at having wasted my money on this product.
