I highly recommend as engaging and entertaining - you'll want to read the whole series!
I got the first book in this series for free (after seeing it promoted on BookBub). My expectations aren’t too high for free Kindle books. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really enjoyed Girl Jacked: A Detective Jack Stratton Mystery. I want books to engage me, entertain me, interest me, with characters that I enjoy, maybe romance but not too much blatant sex or too much really foul language, and with decent editing without distracting mistakes. Girl Jacked gave me all of that and more. I enjoyed it so much that as soon as I finished it, I went to Amazon and immediately purchased the 2nd book in the series, Jack Knifed. I rarely actually purchase a Kindle book – so that alone is a top recommendation from me! After I finished the 2nd book, I again immediately went to Amazon and purchased the 3rd book in the series, Jacks Are Wild. After reading some if it, I realized that I was firmly hooked and went back to Amazon and purchased the 4th & 5th books in this series, Jack And The Giant Killer and Data Jack. I am finally disappointed – because I have finished all of these books AND I STILL WANT MORE! I will be anxiously awaiting publication of Christopher Greyson’s next novel – whenever that may be! The books in this series can be read independently, out of order, but I think you will enjoy them the best if you read them in order of publication.

Fast pace fun ride
If you haven't fallen in love with Jack and Alice (aka Replacement) yet this one is sure to help fix that. Jack's has gotten on the wrong side of his boss one too many times and finds himself walking a beat, one that takes him past his old girlfriends tattoo shop. When Marisa goes missing Jack finds that he can't help but get involved despite the fact that he knows he will be stepping on more toes.Marisa has a past one that very few people know and of course Jack. Turns out Marisa is related to the biggest mob boss and when bodies start falling and Marisa gets kidnapped Jack finds himself trying to stop an all out war between the Yakuza and the Italian mob, as well as dodge the FBI and his boss.Alice of course involves herself in the case, trying to keep Jack safe and also helping with anything related to computers, but sometimes her shortcuts have unwarranted consequences but she always has Jack's back. In fact she always seems to be saving him from himself and everyone else who is trying their damnedest to kill him. She may be a little thing but she is a strong independent character who has Jack wrapped around her finger. This series continues to surprise me with how fun it is. I love the characters and the growing romance between Jack and Alice. I love their landlord, the nosy woman who was always threatening to evict him before Alice showed up and there is the addition of a new strong female character who works for the Yakuza who I hope to see again in future books.

Very good read
Initially got the book because it was free. I like to read books that are free. Not because of the monetary value but because it gives me a chance to discover new authors and with this free book, I have found a good new author.I thought the book was well written, the detailing of the characters and the storytelling so good that it felt you were catapulted and immersed straight into the story. I read this book in two sittings it was a page turner with quite a few twists and turns throughout .I don't believe in writing a review and churning out what you can read ' on the back of a book's. My reviews state whether it's a good book or not, and my review on this book is if you like a thriller. Get this book, it's worth a read.

Great basic storyline
Why oh why would a independent man allow teenage girl to underhandedly destroy their life? I understand taking her in and taking responsibility for her but surely at 19 the first thing should have been a job and college!?! Not allowing her to sneakily delete messages and emails and destroy get well soon cards from friends! Not allowing her to cross boundaries again and again at her own whim! Not allow her serious creepy, bordering on stalker behaviour, taking her with him when she clearly has no idea how to keep her mouth shut (last book). I find him severely lacking for not pulling her up properly, seeing her as a puooy, calling her kid, he has to live by her rules in his home, while she plays obsessive doormat. He lusts for other women and she goes psycho despite telling him they where stopping after she slyly teases him. God I think this series has the mist manipulative annoying teenagers in it I've ever encountered. But sorry I don't want to read anymore about a girl who behaves more like an overpriviledged brat than a child coming out of care and lived in a closet!!!!

Didn't like it
I'm confused....really confused....this book currently is rated 5* by 100% of the people who've reviewed it (12) and yet....it's awful. I'm giving up at 17%. It's clichéd, there is no character development, there's the usual "maverick cop is hated by his boss" thing going on.But the worse thing is Replacement. There is actually a girl called Replacement....it annoys me every time I read it because I've no idea why and it's such a stupid name. But, worse than this, she waits on Jack hand and foot. To the extent where every time he moves she's offering him food or asking what he wants.... Not that I think people shouldn't do things for each other - but it's almost like she does nothing but sit behind a door waiting to jump out and do his bidding. And I'm still confused as to why so many people love this book.... Is it just me?

"A thriller from the top of the deck"
A superb action adventure mystery. Jack Stratton is a cop who likes trouble. He's happy whether it's trouble with his own police department superiors, or colleagues; the FBI, or any number of hardened criminals. Right from the outset the action is fast and furious. Someone close to him is missing; who has taken her? The Italian mobsters or the Yakuza. Jack doesn't ring them up, or make discreet inquiries; he goes in alone and faces them down demanding answers. With his young colleague Alice (Replacement) and Kiku, a Yakuza assassin making an unlikely trio, they track down the real culprits. If you think the action is already fast enough as you rattle through this book, just wait until the final chapters. It speeds up to a breakneck pace and you won't be able to put it down. Excellent.

Jacks are Wild
Enjoyed this Jack Stratton Series Book 3 but not as much as the 2 previous books. I definitely was getting tired of the relationship between Jack and Alice. After all, by now she should be a bit more grown up, as she is 19. Jack is over protective, still calling her a kid. Also, do they need to have as many showers and all that this entails. Time for me to give them a rest. I shall read some more later, as you can be sure that it will not be boring.
