OXO Good Grips 3-Piece Wooden Spoon Set,Brown

Work very well. I love the Oxo brand and I’m not disappointed in this purchase. I read an article about micro plastics and decided to throw away all my plastic cooking utensils and use something natural. They are not dishwasher safe but I don’t mind washing them by hand because it keeps chemicals out of my food.

I pick these spoons because they were three different sizes and smaller than the ones I already had. Love the construction of them as the edges are slightly thinner than that of the spoon head. That makes it so much easier to effectively stir things and remove food from pots and pans. The small one works perfectly with my small rice cooker with a non-stick. In fact it removes all the rice better than the plastic spoon that came with the ricer.The handles are larger which I appreciate because as you get older your hands lose collagen and things become more difficult to grip.Like with any wooden implement cleaning up is easy. I always Wash them immediately after I finish using them and NEVER put them in a dishwasher as the high temperature hot water and the drying cycle are not good for for wooden implements.Well I expect these spoons to last for a good many years I would definitely purchase more of these types of products from OXO

Heavy and do the job! This is a great set of spoons made of a very hardwood, bamboo or teak, maybe. Must-have for any kitchen set! Thanks, Amazon! :)

They are nicely shaped, and I would expect no less from OXO. Just do note, they have no finish/varnish/lacquer on them whatsoever, and so they will soak up flavors and release them in other food. I once made some chicken tinga using one of these, washed it, then used it to stir some noodles I was boiling. My mac and cheese had a noticeable little bit of tomato and chipotle flavoring added... not what I was going for...Also, the wood is rough enough that rags tend to just grip to them, so I can't really do such a great job cleaning them.Neither of these issues is a manufacturing issue on OXO's part or anything, just a couple of nuisance issues I have discovered with raw wooden utensils. I would personally suggest something smooth with some kind of laquer instead. You live, you learn...

I like wooden spoons and after reading articles about other types of materials in spoons I know I will enjoy using them.

These are the best for my arthritic hands. They make hand mixing possible again. They appear to be solid and I just love them!

I ordered the OXO 3 Piece Good Grips Wooden Turner Set and the OXO 3 Piece Spoon Set. I totally LOVE these wood cooking utensils. They are large and sturdy. I hand wash them with dish detergent and let them air dry. Unlike some cheap wood utensils, the OXO ones don't swell up around the edges and split and fall apart. They are worth to price.

They're strong for sure. Super thick wood and very heavy but because of thickness you can't pick up a lot with it.
